We met in 2001 when Cale worked at the Pacific Science Center and Angela was a pre-K teacher. Our roommates were dating and introduced us. They didn't last, but we did, and 20 years later we're ready to welcome a child.
This child will go on walks to the beach and hikes in the woods. We live by 4 parks and we can walk to work and the Target. We live on a street with a bunch of families to grow up with.
We have a big yard with lots of room to play ball with the dog and a garden full of blueberries and raspberries. We have nursery full of gifts from our family and friends who are all so excited.
I can't wait to share all the fun I had growing up. This baby will be read to all the time, we will build and play in the yard all summer long. I want to teach them how to sail and coach their soccer team.
I have been putting my focus on my education and career so that I could be ready to devote myself to raising kids when the time comes. My wife and I have talks all the time about names for the baby, which car seat is the safest and what our plans our for raising our children. We have been working on this as a team and we are ready.
My life has always involved children, from preschool teacher, nanny, God parent and now elementary teacher. I have always wanted to learn more about how to reach children and support children on their journey to growing up.
I think that I bring home a lot of the values I use at school including mindfulness. I take a few moments with my feelings before I react, I say how I am feeling and I ask for what I need. It has helped my marriage so much when I can go to my man and say I need comfort, we can fix the problem later.
