After meeting in college,we have been building a life together for over 12 years (married for 7+) and we are excited for our next adventure of becoming parents!
We will fill our child's life with the company of friends, family, and pets. We will also share our love of being outdoors in Pacific Northwest.
We have always imagined adoption as a wonderful way to welcome a baby into our lives. We are hoping to adopt a newborn.
We own our three bedroom, two bathroom home. The nursery will be directly next to our bedroom and decorated in happy bright colors of yellow, orange and teal. We also have a big fenced back yard just waiting for a child to run and play and a den/toy room.
We are in a residential neighborhood, but we can also walk to the grocery store, coffee shops, kid friendly restaurants and multiple parks. We are also friendly with our neighbors.
In the summer, we also enjoy spending time at a summer cabin that Erik's dad and grandfather built and on our small power boat.
I had a happy childhood in northern California. I was a good student and avid ballet dancer. I have one younger brother with whom I am close.
I enjoy and am challenged by my work at a technology company. Outside of work, I like taking exercise classes and reading fiction. I also enjoy getting out and enjoying nature.
My parents live in California. They are very excited to be first time grandparents and host us and the grandkids for “beach vacations.” I also have extended family and friends in New York, Virginia, Boston, and elsewhere all over the country. They are ready to help out wherever the journey of adoption takes us.
Adoption is a path to motherhood I have long considered. I will give a child all the unconditional love, support and cuddles I can.
I was born and raised in a small town in the same home that my parents still live in today. Its a great place to raise a family and I made many lifelong friends in the public school system.
I work at a major advertising agency supporting technology clients. Outside of work I enjoy playing board games as a way to connect with friends. I also enjoy taking care of and spending time in our backyard. Lastly, I love being on the water. I want to recreate the great memories I have of boating in the Pacific Northwest with our future children. I want to raise children who understand how lucky we are to be alive on this beautiful planet and the responsibilities that come with it.
Together Kathleen and I have a lot of love to give. The more we have learned about adoption the more it has felt like the right choice to me.
