We know that deciding to adopt and choosing parents can be a challenging process and are grateful that you've decided to stop by our page. We are a couple in our 30s looking to start a family after eight years of marriage. We've built a life of music, travel, crafting, family, friends, and community and are eager to share it with a child. We hope this site helps you learn a little more about us and we wish you the best of luck.
We met over 14 years ago. Dave just finished college and was on a cross-country trip, when his best friend told him he was getting married. So he headed back to New York City for the wedding where he met Jen. Although Dave caught Jen's eye, he was still groggy from driving all the way across the county. Fortunately, his parents were there and instantly loved Jen. After bugging him about it for a while, he finally asked her out and the rest is history (or our story).
We both love movies (especially good comedy), travel (especially New Orleans), and cooking. But we also like to do our own thing sometimes and have our personal interests and hobbies.
Perhaps most importantly, we like to think that we are pretty easy going, but responsible people. While we have good careers that we enjoy, we think that life is about more than work and try to find fun and joy wherever we can.
Today was Kids Day at the Farmers Market where we sell Jen’s soap. There were balloons, veggie tasting, face-painting, story time, and lots of worms! Looking forward to sharing our market Saturdays and the friends we’ve made their with a little one.
We just hit our 8 year anniversary. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long since our farm wedding. Here’s a picture from one of our favorite moments. Since Dave and a lot of our friends are musicians, we set up the instruments and let them go at it. In this shot, our friend Ryan is doing his best Elvis impersonation to “Suspicious Minds.” He brought the house down!
