Thanksgiving Eve

Hello! I hope you’re doing well! I feel like today is kind of like the soft kick-off of the holiday season. Unlike my college days when the day before Thanksgiving was one of the best “going out” nights of the year, we’ll be staying at home, doing a little bit of food prep for tomorrow (I get to bring the green bean casserole and mashed potatoes), and then doing manicures and snuggling up to watch a Christmas movie. Oh! And I can’t forget my “Friends” Thanksgiving marathon! One of my favorite things I do the night before Thanksgiving!

Tomorrow, all the guys in the family are playing in a turkey bowl, then we’re gathering at my parents’ house for our dinner together. It’s getting a little rowdy now that there’s three grand kids, but it’s so fun! Our tradition for Black Friday is to see Santa, which we’ve done since my sisters and I were kids, and then do a little shopping and go out to lunch all together with my parents, sisters, and their families.

I’m hoping to go to a tree lighting or winter festival within the next few weekends too! We went with my parents, sister, and her kiddos last year, and they loved seeing all the lights and Santa too! What do you usually do over the Thanksgiving holiday?

With love
