Dear Expectant Parent(s)

Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. We imagine that you have a lot going on and a lot to consider. We respect and admire that you’re considering open adoption.

We have always felt called to grow our family through adoption and are committed to frequent and open communication. We'd love to share photos and emails about moments big and small, as well as coordinate at least one visit in person each year. Should you choose to place your child with our family, we'd look forward to welcoming you into our lives.

To ensure that you know all of your options as you consider this big decision, our public email address (katie@pactadopt.org) and phone number (510-243-9460) is for our social worker, Katie, who will provide full options counseling, let you know your rights, will not pressure you to place and can support you through this process. We look forward to connecting with you when you are ready.

Again, thank you for considering us, and we wish you the best with whatever decision you make.

- Danielle & Victor

Who We Are

We both share a deep love of education and public service. We met in graduate school at Princeton University in 2005 while studying international relations. Shortly thereafter, we both started working for the federal government - Danielle at the White House under President Obama, and Victor for the State Department as a diplomat.

We were married in 2008. In 2013, Danielle gave birth to Josephine, and we relocated from Washington, D.C. to the island of Cyprus, where Victor worked at the U.S. Embassy. We loved spending time together abroad.

In 2015, we moved back to the United States to Colorado and bought a home near Denver, where we currently live. Danielle switched from government to private law for a major tech company. Victor went to graduate school again, and in 2021, Victor finished his doctorate and started working as a researcher.

Our Home Study is Approved!

This was such a big moment. The journey to becoming an adoptive parent one day begins with attending training courses and getting an approved home study. We began our training on open adoptions with Pact in California - a great adoption agency that focuses on serving expectant parents of color - especially Black and Hispanic expectant parents who are considering adoption. We continued with training at our home study agency here in Colorado. Great news: we’re approved!

Thank You for Visiting Our Adoption Profile

We want to thank you for considering us as adoptive parents for your child.

We truly appreciate your kindness and strength and look forward to hearing from you.
