We met, fell in love and married in New York City. We've made a home here close to family, our church and our friends. We love the outdoors and often take our bikes out as we explore the city or we take a stroll to admire the architecture of buildings, the history of the places we walk in or just observe people as they walk to and from different directions. We are a family deeply grounded in our Catholic faith so prayer is a part of our everyday lives. Every night we pray the rosary as a way to give thanks and to ask for guidance so we continue to live our lives in God’s grace. We are committed to raising a child grounded in the same Catholic faith.
Both of us come from close-knit families and we make it a point to get together regularly. Our children will grow up with the support of cousins and extended family on both sides.
We live in a spacious and cozy apartment in New York City that is close to parks, cafes, restaurants and schools.
Our building management puts a special focus on security and does an exceptional job in maintaining the building. Our building also has a pool club in the roof so we enjoy the pool socializing with other young families in the building every summer.
Unlike most New Yorkers, we actually own a car which enables us to go on fun road trips outside of the city. Hugo's sister owns a home in the country and frequently invites us to spend time with her and her kids.
Hugo was born and raised in Argentina and moved to the United States 14 years ago to be with his mother and sister who came a few years earlier. In our family, he is the architect of fun, filling our days with various activities like biking, sports and indoor or outdoor games. He is a storyteller and entertains friends and family with outrageous stories from the colorful life he has lived. Our nephews and nieces adore him because he loves to invent new games with them.
Hugo is an avid soccer fan. He follows the many soccer leagues around the world and plays soccer in the weekends. He has also managed to get our nephews and nieces interested in the sport.
As you might guess, Hugo is very close to his nephew and nieces. He treats them as his own even when it comes to disciplining them. Hugo is a complementary life partner to Pam. He is spirited and fun-loving and he helps Pam overcome her shyness. He lives his life with child-like wonder. Our children will undoubtedly be entertained by him.
Pam was born and raised in the Philippines. She came to the United States to study to obtain a Masters degree. She loved New York City so much, that she decided to build a career here. So this is where she met Hugo.
She likes to do a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities. She loves to cook and to bake especially cuisines from Argentina and the Philippines. Serving home cooked meals to friends and family is a way to express her nurturing side, to give them a sense of comfort and belonging.
Pam is naturally maternal. She concerns herself with the well-being and feelings of those she cares about. Her nieces and nephews confide in her because she provides a safe space for them to express their thoughts and feelings. She loves to laugh which works for the marriage because Hugo is a jokester.
If Hugo is an extrovert, Pam is more reserved and shy. That doesn't mean she doesn't have a fun and rowdy side. She prefers small social settings than large ones. this is another reason why she and Hugo complement each other.
As a mother, Pam would be open and calm. She believes in resolving conflict through through conversations. She comes from a large family and maintains very close relationships with them so her children will grow up surrounded by cousins and other extended members of the family.
