We are a loving and adventurous couple looking to grow our family through adoption.
Hello! We are Kyle and Gwendolyn from Seattle, WA. Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. We want to start by letting you know that we are committed to an open adoption and want your child to know they were loved unconditionally from the beginning. Your child should be raised feeling proud of who they are, always knowing that the decisions you made were ones of love. Know that we would be dedicated to making your child feel loved, would give them the freedom to become the person they choose to be – and always honor the courageous choice you made.
We have known for years that adoption would be part of our story. Gwendolyn has dedicated her career to helping families in need and has always wanted to adopt. Kyle's life-long friend was adopted, Gwendolyn's grandfather was adopted, and another friend recently adopted a baby of his own. Adoption has always been a part of our lives.
We hope to provide your baby with a loving, nurturing, and safe home. Creativity, education, and laughter are all important to us as a family. We hope to help your baby explore the world and discover what matters most to them.
Our large extended family is already waiting to shower your baby with love and care. Your baby would have three Aunts, two Uncles, four Grandparents, six Great Grandparents and too many cousins to count! Our holidays are filled with food, laughter and love.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our family and considering us as you make this decision. We hope you can get a sense of who we are and what's important to us.
We've been together for eight years. A lot has happened since we first met -- graduate school, new jobs, our wedding, big moves, and buying our first home. We've been inseparable since our first date. We first said "I love you" over a Scrabble game in the middle of a hurricane. Our dates these days include going to our favorite Middle Eastern restaurant or going for a walk on the beach. We can't wait to have a little one come with us.
Over the last few days it has snowed almost a foot! Seattle isn’t used to this kind of weather. We have been snowed in for a week. We both love the snow and had a snowball fight (Kyle won). Pugsley on the other hand, hates going for walks in the snow. He prefers to be cuddled up by the fire. We spent our snow days working on some projects around the house, doing a few puzzles and watching a good movie.
Education is important to both of us. We were both nurtured and supported by our families to go as far in school as we could dream. Gwendolyn spent hours every week as a child at the local library and Kyle joined as many after school clubs as he could. Reading is at the heart of our home. Kyle’s favorite children’s book is “Where the Wild Things Are” and Gwendolyn loves “Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh”. We have already collected dozens of children’s books for the nursery and can’t wait to share them. Friends and family have also given us their favorite children’s books to share with our future little one.
