We met through mutual friends in our late teens and have a bond that has stood the test of time. We are the best of friends and have been described as down-to-earth and hard-working. We’re very similar in our likes and beliefs yet different enough to create the perfect balance for everyday life.
We try to live life to its fullest. Whether it's a 70-mile ride through the mountains on our 4-wheeled ATV's, a hike to see a breathtaking natural waterfall, a day full of roller-coasters at the amusement park, a night at a rock concert or just a laid-back evening at home, we always have a blast together! When we aren't creating our own adventures, we love to just hang out at home with each other, or with family and friends. There’s nothing like a quiet evening outside by the fire or hanging out in the man-cave!
Our 3 bedroom ranch style home sits on a little over an acre in a rural area. Our home for the last 15 years, it’s spacious yet cozy with plenty of room for our growing family. Although we live in the country, we are only a couple of miles from amenities such as schools, shopping, parks and ball fields. Our big, spacious yard is perfect for playing outdoors any time of year!
Matt is a determined person; there is no task that's impossible. He's caring, has a great sense of humor and can get along with anyone. He spends his week days running the auto repair shop that he owns with his brother,. He takes great pride in what he does and finds it very rewarding and fulfilling.
As someone who loves the outdoors, Matt is always outside puttering around with something and he hopes to instill this love in our adopted child as well. Most of the time, you'll find him either out working in the yard or garden, cutting firewood or playing with his remote-controlled cars. He feels that being able to share all of these things with our child will make them all more enjoyable. It’s not uncommon to do a double-take out the window as something larger than a bird flies around the yard but don't worry, it’s just his remote- controlled plane!
When Bridgett has some down time from her accounting job, she can usually be found curled up somewhere with a book, scrapbooking, experimenting in the kitchen, canning the latest garden harvest or taking a class at the local yoga studio. She's anxious to share these things with a child and even more excited to learn about and experience their own unique interests right along with them.
Bridgett is a hard-working, loving person who always looks for the good in people and the positive to to every situation. Life’s too short to dwell on negative things all of the time! Bridgett is really excited for the opportunity to bring a child into traditions such as baking cookies and making Buckeyes and hard-tack candy with grandma, as well as creating a few of our own as a family.
