Saturday we tried a thing. In an effort to get Harper out of her comfort zone a bit before preschool starts in September, we signed up for gymnastics! We missed the first class last week because we were out of town, but we got to go this morning! She started out nervous and Chase had to go stretch with her, then they started different activities and she fell in LOVE!
Every time she did something she ran over and gave us a high 5!
We took a long weekend and drove down to Maryland to meet our new niece. We just got home tonight and are pretty tired, but we had a great time! Harper LOVES to roll play with her dolls, so meeting a “real life baby” was something akin to other little girls meeting a Disney princess.
She couldn’t stop talking about her new baby cousin, saying “Her my best friend! Her my family!!” She wanted to hold her, and kiss her, and buckle her in her car seat, and hug her, and give her bottles, and cover her with a blanket, the list goes on!
My heart was permanently melting all weekend seeing my little girl, at 2.5, love on her cousin. She was so attentive. So caring. I cannot wait to see her flourish as a big sister. She was born for this job and is really going to excel at it.
