Choosing to place your child for adoption isn't an easy decision and we thank you for taking the time to visit our profile and learn about about us. We're both very excited about welcoming a child in our warm and loving home and we look forward to getting to know you as we venture down this adoption journey together.
After knowing each other since 2008, we were married in November, 2014. We were honored to have our large supportive family and many, many friends join us to celebrate our union at a resort in Northern Virginia. We purchased a townhome together in 2013 in northern Virginia. We picked our neighborhood for its quality of living - outdoor trails, access to recreation, a reasonable distance between our work locations and an excellent school system - our child will attend a well-known and high-performing elementary school. We both golf and shortly after moving to the area we joined a country club with golf, tennis, swimming and fitness facilities and family and social events. We enjoy walking, spending time outside, traveling, cooking, eating and spending time with family and friends. We love our pets - we have a dog, Ellie (aka "Boo"), and two cats, Winston (he's quite large) and Kallie (she's quite small).
This weekend the weather was great in Virginia - for being January! We are so fortunate where we live - in 30 minutes we can drive in the countryside or be in the city. This weekend, though, we had time for a break from our jobs and just time to spend together. We went to a couple of breweries and took Ellie with us. We had a great time. One thing struck us though - there were so many families! One brewery we went to was huge…it even had a huge play set for kids. As we sat there sampling different beers we couldn’t help but notice how happy the families with kids were. We look forward to that - letting our kid meet new friends and experience the best of both worlds - the country and the city!
It’s a New Year with hopes of expanding our family. We are excited for what this year may bring. We rang in the New Year with my new smoker Jeremy gave me for Christmas. We smoked a couple of large T-bones to go along with a few snow crab legs and shrimp. It was delicious!
This year we will be updating our home to prepare for the new addition :). Jeremy will be moving his office to the basement and making his old office the baby’s room. We have to get rid of some furniture in the basement to make room for Jeremy’s office and a little play area for the kid. Furniture shopping is going to be a blast - well at least Jeremy is looking forward to the furniture shopping…lol.
With the New Year comes new goals. One of which is becoming more fit and eating healthier. We’ve been with our personal trainer at the club for almost a year now and we continue to strive to lose weight and be healthier. With bringing a kid into our household we intend to instill these good habits on them as well.
Here’s to a exciting, eventful and healthy 2018!!
