Who We Are
Our journey together began back in 2011 when we met at a local restaurant for our first date and hit it off immediately. We had a lot of the same goals and interests, which made conversation easy and natural. Throughout the year our bond grew stronger and on our one-year anniversary we got engaged. A year after that, we had an amazing wedding surrounded by family and friends. We have a very happy and healthy relationship and love each other unconditionally.
We were both raised in two parent households with both sets of parents still together after over 36 years. They have really shaped who we are and how we have chosen to raise our own children. From them we have learned to work hard, be ourselves, be kind, respectful, honest and appreciate the small things in life. Our parents and extended family and friends have always been there to support us and are overjoyed at the thought of welcoming another baby into the family!
We both love to cook, host get togethers with family and friends and work on home projects. Matt also likes fishing, gardening and cars. Katie loves singing, arts and crafts, baking, and animals.
In 2016 Toro came into our lives. He is our highly intelligent, fun loving and gentle 6-year-old German Shepard who we call our big teddy bear. He loves to play outside and snuggle up with us to watch TV. He is great around children and cannot wait for a new member of the family to play with.
We were so fortunate to have CJ join our family through adoption in April 2020 and he has changed our lives in such an incredible way. He truly is the center of all we do and we love him so much. He is now 2.5 years old and is a very happy, friendly and easy-going little guy. He has such a fun personality and always makes us laugh. He loves to read, play with his trucks, build with his blocks and chase Toro around the house. He is really excited about the thought of having a little brother or sister to play with.
The amount of love, support and happiness we have received from our family and friends through our journey to this day has been positively overwhelming and humbling. We are truly able to offer a fun, loving, and stable life for your baby and really hope to get to know you better.
Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays. Not only do we get to spend time with our family, but we also get to eat a lot of really good food! Katie is Italian so our Thanksgiving feast includes a wide variety of items from the standard turkey and mashed potatoes to stuffed shells and meatballs.
As the colder weather starts to set in here in MA, and we plan for fun fall activities, we enjoy looking back on our favorite summertime memories. Here’s a photo of CJ’s aunt teaching him how to do the “Jeep wave”. He has so much fun cruising around in his little Jeep.
