Our hearts are open, and we feel that love not biology makes a family

It would be such a joy and a privilege to give your child a happy home. We will provide a safe, nurturing environment for your child to grow up in. We will give your child a home that is full of love and encouragement, where he or she can laugh, play, and discover their dreams and passions.

We have always thought adoption would be a wonderful way to become parents. Our hearts are open, and we have never felt that biology makes a family. We are more than ready to give all of our love, support, and resources to your child.

Who We Are

We met in 2012. Right away we enjoyed spending time together, we realized we even had some friends in common, and have similar family-oriented values and a desire to be parents. We both love children! We also enjoy going to hear live music, seeing art, hanging out with friends, and spending time outside in nature.
Our families and friends are excited to welcome a child that we would be so lucky to have come into our lives. This child will be Sara’s parents’ first grandchild. Sara’s parents are retired and live nearby in New Jersey.

We both love to travel and we plan to bring your child on wonderful trips to fun and interesting places. Our first big trip together was to Costa Rica with a group of friends. It was so much fun. We learned to surf (well Tim did, Sara ended up with a lot of sand in her bathing suit). We collected shells on the beach, and we went on hikes in the rainforest where we saw monkeys, colorful birds, and Sara’s favorite, three-toed sloths! Since then we have also traveled to Berlin, Saint Croix, Iceland, and all over the United States. We also often travel to England to visit Tim’s parents Christine and Andrew, sister Bobby, brother-in-law John, and our nieces Isla and Erin who are 7 and 12. Tim’s Mom and Dad have been married for over 50 years. We go there almost every Christmas so we can all celebrate together. We all stay in the same house and make special meals for Christmas eve and Christmas day. We also have the tradition of going ice skating, which Sara especially loves because when she was little, she used to take part in ice skating competitions.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us, we would love to get to know you!

Adoption Diary

Playing in the park

Sara got to see a few friends in the park this weekend. Because of the quarantine, we had not met our friend’s, new baby. His name is Hawkins, and he is just 6 weeks old and so tiny. She also got to see some of our other friend’s little ones who are all under a year. Our sweet dog Charlie is so great with kids and babies. We think Charlie had just as much fun as all the humans. When we get to have a child come into our lives, they will have so many friends to play with.

We are both very creative. Tim plays music all the time. He is constantly writing songs and playing guitar. He just got a new guitar for his birthday! Sara is an artist and loves to make things. She draws, paints, creates pottery, and knits. One year for Christmas she knit everyone in the family a gift as one of their presents. In this picture, Tim is wearing a hat Sara made. We can’t wait to do fun projects and sing songs with the child we get to adopt.!
