Our Once Upon a Time
Once upon a time a young woman named Marissa attended a party at her school when a charming young man named Adam approached her and asked for a dance. The magic sparked as they danced the night away. They spent the next few months sharing their dreams, experiences, and thoughts on just about every topic you could imagine. After school was over, the young man, Adam took the young woman, Marissa to their favorite place, the beach where he got down in the sand and asked for her hand in marriage. Two years later, they were married in their safe haven, the beach and have been in love for the past fifteen years. “We were simply meant to be.”- Nightmare Before Christmas
Four years ago, they gave birth to a beautiful daughter (name is anonymous for privacy purposes) who grew up to love all animals, dance, sing and to make friends wherever she went. This loving family also has a small dog who they all adore who loves to play and snuggle. Marissa, Adam, and their daughter would love to complete their family through adoption of a precious new baby to share their love, joy and happiness with each day forward. Our Home
Marissa, Adam and their little girl live in a two-story center hall colonial house with a fenced in backyard full of toys and various activities. Their home provides a safe, loving place where many gatherings and celebrations occur.
The community is a close-knit neighborhood filled with smiles and hellos from all walking by and young children plying. The lovely oasis is close to many restaurants, shops and there is always something going on for the family to enjoy. The village holds holiday parades, toy drives, fairs, carnivals, movie nights, organized youth sports among so much more.
This small town is close to the train that heads to the big city for a wide range of music, art and cultural experiences of all kinds. In the same breath the village is even closer to many many local beaches and the ocean shore. Our favorite spot is the local beach club which is only a short walk from our house. This is where we spend a lot of time swimming, playing games, having BBQs and sharing special events with all our family and friends. We love fun in the sun.
Meet Marissa by Adam
I fell in love with Marissa from the first time we met. Marissa’s bubbly, happy and adventurous personality won me over, I just wanted to keep spending more and more time with her. As time went on, we spent a lot of time together and I got to know Marissa’s big heart and zest for life. She is the one who finds the sunshine no matter the rainstorm and refills the glass when you see it half empty. She is caring, sensitive and devoted to everything she puts her mind to which is why she is an extraordinary mother. Marissa is the rock of our family, who keeps us organized, seeks out new adventures for our family to embark on and cares for our every need no matter the challenge. Marissa is truly our happily ever after.
Not only does Marissa give herself 110% to her family but she still finds time for a career of devotion to help others. Marissa began as an early childhood special education teacher where I watched her take joy and pride in all her students’ success both large and small. Marissa would work all hours of the night thinking of new ideas to teach new skills to her students. Thereafter, Marissa became an assistant principal of the school in order to reach more and more students. Recently, Marissa completed her doctorate degree in educational leadership while staying home to raise our daughter. She aspires to teach at the college level where I know she will make even more of a difference in not only the lives of aspiring teachers but their students as well. Marissa has the gift of touching people’s lives in a positive way- “her love goes on and on- Robin Hood.”
Meet Adam by Marissa
Adam is a gentle, caring and a sensitive man who loves and provides for his family. Adam comes from a loving family who taught him the meaning of perseverance and hard work. Adam has overcome many challenges in his life and never lets anything stop him from achieving any goal he sets for himself. Adam is a pure example of generosity and devotion to all those that surround him. He always puts people first and takes care of everyone else’s needs before his own. His world is his family and rises to all occasions both good and difficult.
He has a bachelor’s degree in political science and has been working in the finance industry for the past twenty years. He works hard every day and strives to meet all his client’s needs. Adam enjoys relaxing with the family and hearing all the stories from the day. He is a devoted father to his little girl, playing make believe fairytales, “Paw Patrol” and animal doctor. He is a great example of never-ending love to both me and his little girl.
