About Us
Our Story
Ryan and Amanda met during our freshmen year at Ohio Northern University in 2008. We lived down the hall from each other and mutual friends introduced us. Ryan asked Amanda out on their first date in the dorm lobby while waiting for the pizza man to arrive (thank goodness he was late because Ryan was nervous!) After our sophomore year, Ryan moved back to Columbus, OH. We kept our relationship going strong even through long distance. In January of 2012, Ryan proposed to Amanda in front of our closest friends. Just a few months after graduating from college we got married in Chicago on September 20th, 2014.
Together we love to cook, go on road trips, gather with our family and friends, explore new cities and challenge ourselves with something new each year. At the same time, we also appreciate things like rainy days, coffee dates, taking our dog, Rocky, for walks, going to the movies, game nights and trying ultimately to treat each other with love and respect.
We are ready to give our unconditional love to a child and expand our family through the miracle of adoption!
Our Home
We live in a family oriented neighborhood, with many parks and amusements within walking/driving distance. There are many other children in our neighborhood and it continues to grow! Our home is a two story and has 4 large bedrooms. Our favorite place in our house is our large family room because it is set up for family fun!
Ryan
Ryan was adopted by his parents as an infant. Ryan grew up in a close knit community near Columbus, OH. He has two younger sisters and his parents were married for 31 years. Ryan's father passed away in 2016. Ryan is an uncle to his nephew, Carter. Ryan's parents have always taught the importance of family. Ryan loves to hunt and play golf. Football is a big part of his family (go bucks!) His favorite foods include burgers, steak, and cookies. Ryan graduated high school in 2008, attended Ohio Northern University and obtained his degree in business from Averett University in Virginia. Ryan is currently a business developer.
How Amanda thinks of Ryan:
Ryan is a wonderful husband and partner. We work, play and laugh together daily. He is my rock and he never ceases to amaze me. He's compassionate, yet strong, He's loyal and honest. I know he will make an awesome dad. If I ever doubt myself or get discouraged, he is always there. We always strive to fulfill each other's needs. I love this man and can't imagine my life without him.
The bond we share is truly a gift.
Amanda
Amanda grew up in Chicago, IL. She is an only child. Her parents have been married for 42 years. She is one of fifteen grandchildren on her father's side of the family. Family has always been important to her and regardless of where she's been in life she keeps them as a top priority. Her favorite time of year is Fall. She loves the outdoors and likes to stay active, but also loves to cuddle up inside with a blanket and a cup of tea. Amanda's favorite foods include cherry pie, pasta and pizza. She graduated high school in 2008 and went on to Ohio Northern University and obtained a doctorate in pharmacy in 2014. She is currently practicing in community pharmacy.
How Ryan thinks of Amanda:
Amanda is my partner in life. I love her very much. I feel that she is one of the most generous, caring, loving and thoughtful people I know. She makes me a better person and continually motivates me through our life. Amanda is always willing to lend a helping hand. More than my wife, Amanda is my best friend. My wish for her is to have the opportunity to be a mother. There is no doubt that she will be a great mother and that we will make an outstanding team as parents.
