Thank you for reading our profile and taking the time to get to know our family. It is our dream to become parents and without someone like you, that dream would never become a reality. It takes an enormous amount of courage and faith to make an adoption plan and we have a lot of respect for the tough decisions you are about to make.
We promise that this child will grow up in a safe and loving home. They will know both city and country life, as well as American and Turkish culture. We will make sure that they attend great schools, where they will get an education that prepares them to be a well-rounded, stable, and compassionate adult. Most importantly, we will do everything in power to make sure they know that they are loved, accepted and have every opportunity to pursue their dreams.
We hope we can meet you in person someday soon and wish you peace and love throughout this time.

Who We Are
We met in 2007, while both working at the same software company. We tried to keep our new romance a secret, but looking back, our long glances and giggles may have been obvious! After only two months of dating, we decided to go an adventure together to Spain and Morocco. It was hard to hide it from our coworkers after that!
After getting married in 2014, we wanted to have kids, but found that even with fertility treatments, it would not be possible. We now feel that adoption is the great way to move forward and fulfill our dream of becoming parents.
Adoption is already a part of our lives. Mary’s godparents adopted three girls from China and have given us many insights from their journey. Also, our next door neighbors adopted, and it has been very inspiring to see just how much love they have for one another. We can’t wait to welcome a child into our lives and begin this wonderful journey together.
French toast might be my favorite breakfast food. I started making it for my family when I was pretty young, maybe around 10 or 11 with some adult supervision. This weekend, I bought peaches at our local farmer’s market and I wanted to make something delicious with them. Ahmet picked up some oatmeal bread for me from a nearby bakery for my French toast. Result=delicious French toast with fresh peaches.
On one of the first almost-perfect evenings in Chicago, Mary and I went for an after dinner stroll on the Chicago river walk. We don’t get very many of these nights but when we do, we always make sure we take advantage of it.
