Flower Show
The Hicks Nurseries Annual Flower Show did not disappoint! This year’s theme was Celebrations Around the World with iconic global celebrations including Chinese New Year, Holi, Oktoberfest, 4th of July, and Day of the Dead. It was an explosion of color and landscape architecture. Of course, I was elated to see the Dragon in the Lunar New Year display and an entire Day of the Dead display. However, my favorite display was the Holi display. The spectacular colors and the water features with the elephants was just so serene and absolutely beautiful. If only I could have that display in my very own backyard. Hicks had a fun little scavenger hunt for each of the displays and there were so many little kids having so much fun looking for each item hidden within the scene. I was having a lot of fun with the scavenger hunt too. I cannot wait until it is my turn to take a little one to enjoy the fun and beauty of the flower show.
