About Us
Our Story
About us…We both grew up on Long Island, NY with big families, that we spend lots of time with. We try to get out and about when we can, spending time in our neighborhood, finding a new fun place to go for dinner, going on vacations, camping, bowling, or just staying at home. We also love celebrating holidays; our favorites are Halloween and Christmas. We live in a large home with plenty of room for a family to grow! We keep our home up to date, most of it is recently renovated, and have a big back yard for lots of fun. Our parents are all retired and live close by. Faith’s dad lives a few houses away on the same street, and Mike’s parents about 15 minutes away… We spent lots of time with our grandparents when we were younger, and hope our little ones have the same experience. Mike is also lucky to have his grandpa living about 15 minutes away!
Our Home
We live in a large home with plenty of space for a growing family! The home belonged to Faith’s grandparents for many years. She and Mike were lucky enough to be able to buy it after they were married. Faith’s dad lives a few houses away. Mike’s parents live about 15 minutes away. So we are nice and close to family. We have a big yard, with lots of space to garden or play, and patio to sit and relax. Maybe one day, add a swing set! Our home is located in a quiet neighborhood, with lots of fun things to do and see. Our town has parades, festivals and markets, which we frequent often, sometimes with our friends, family and pup Luna. We have parks and a bay beach close by, complete with playgrounds and a brand new spray park! Our town also has a newly renovated library, with lots of programs for families...there is always something fun to do!
Faith
Faith is loving, caring and kind. Faith loves baking, gardening and arts & crafts. She can be often found in the kitchen baking cakes or cupcakes for special birthdays or celebrations. Her favorite things to bake are the birthday cakes for her two nieces, nephew and Christmas cookies! She also loves gardening, and when the weather is warm she spends weekends planning and planting flowers and sometimes vegetables. She’s artsy, and crafty…she is always making or building something. Faith recently started making balloon arches and decorations for parties. Faith is a caseworker, with a background in education, that has worked with children and families for almost 20 years.
Mike
Mike is kind, patient and loving. He is also goofy and silly, making him a favorite of our nieces and nephew! Mike loves watching movies, comic books and spending time playing with or walking their pup Luna. We try to see the latest flick at the movies or we’re snuggled on the couch at home with a bowl of popcorn. Mike has been collecting comic books since he was 12 years old, and has a huge collection of books and action figures that he enjoys displaying. He tries to attend comic conventions when he can, near and far! Mike also enjoys playing board games, so we have a big collection of games. Uno, Rummikub and Monopoly are some of our favorites. Mike works at an elementary school as a security guard, so he is lucky enough to be off from work whenever school is out, including the whole summer!
