About Us

photo of adoptive family's story

Our Story

Our love story is built on our shared enthusiasm for life, love of food and sports, and our constant pursuit of personal growth.

Chris and I found love unexpectedly during the uncertainty of the pandemic. We instantly connected, discovering our common values, dreams, and a strong determination to evolve together. Our journey has only deepened our bond, reinforcing our commitment.

We believe in facing challenges head-on, engaging in open and honest conversations. Embracing therapy and counseling, we see them as essential for personal development and overcoming obstacles. Communication and growth are key in our relationship.

The idea of expanding our family has been on our minds. Meeting later in life has led us to consider paths to parenthood we hadn't explored, like adoption. We see this as a potentially enriching and meaningful journey for both of us.

Our Home

photo of adoptive family's home Living between New York City and Connecticut, our lives combine the excitement of the city with the serenity of nature—a unique blend of two worlds.

Our time is divided between the vibrant energy of New York City and the peaceful charm of Connecticut. Weekdays are filled with art, museums, dining, and socializing in NYC, while weekends and summers are spent in tranquil Connecticut. Here, we immerse ourselves in outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, making s'mores by bonfires, and bird watching. This balance allows us to enjoy both the dynamic city life and the relaxing countryside.

France holds a special place in our hearts as our third home, where we reconnect with Sophie's family and friends every year. Plus, Chris loves the French Alps.

Our living spaces are child-friendly, with a two-bedroom apartment in NYC and a three-bedroom house in Connecticut. We are well-prepared for our family to expand, with playgrounds nearby in the city and a plethora of kid-friendly activities and communities in Connecticut.

Sophie

adoptive family photo - Sophie I am French, born and raised in Paris. I traveled the world for my job before settling in New York in 2017.

I've spent many years in both West and East Africa, as well as the Middle East.

I lived all over the world and traveled to more than 50 countries.

I am a proud vegetarian with an undying love for baguettes and cheese.

Sports enthusiast; I love running, hiking, and adrenaline-pumping activities like via ferrata.

"The Little Prince" holds a special place in my heart—I've read it countless times!

I confess that mornings aren't my favorite; just ask Chris. :)

I love Chris, our cats and pillow talks :)

Chris

adoptive family photo - Chris I'm a 'Tri-State area' lifer, now living in NYC for the last 15 years. I've been to 40 countries now and have whittled down my travel bug. I've been happier being settled and stable.

I was a vegan till I met Sophie, who eats so much cheese that I switched to vegetarian.

I work for a tech company that affords me financial stability and leaves me time for training for triathlon and trail running.

I really enjoy spending time with Sophie. The companionship is fulfilling. We go for bird watching walks, hikes, dinners, movies, and a lot of 'Netflix and chill' addictive TV series.

Also big into sci-fi reading!
