Braces and growing up
Today we embarked on a new parenting journey - we have a kid with braces! I thought we were almost done with seeing firsts, but I guess even big kids have firsts.
Although my kiddo with braces is a big kid, I was shocked that they asked me to go back with them at the orthodontists office. It made me tear up a little that they still wanted their mom with them.
So, today I was reminded that my older kids still want comfort from their parents. Tonight will likely bring discomfort. Justin is making a nice soft dinner and ice cream for dessert. I’m happy to offer cuddles and commiseration, especially with my big kids.
