Our Story
We met at a science camp where Dan worked and Cassaundra was attending to teach students. After our time at camp and connecting on social media, we spontaneously met at the beach three weeks later to camp with friends, and that’s when we truly connected. Dan proposed at that same beach years later. We’ve been married for five years, have a wonderful son, and love our life together. What we love most about our relationship is that we complement each other well.

We live in a 2-bedroom house in a beautiful Spanish coastal town in Southern California. Our favorite thing about our home is the community around it. We love driving up to our house and seeing the children playing outside. We also love that our front door opens to a beautiful pond with lots of wildlife, such as turtles, koi fish, and birds. When we are home, we love having family and friends and having BBQs. Dan always cooks up something elaborate, and we love to share our home and food with the people we love.
We are grateful to have a backyard where the kids can play and several playgrounds in the neighborhood with community pools. There are walking and bike paths spread throughout the neighborhood, with trails that take you straight to the beach. Our neighbors are friendly and diverse, which we appreciate because we get to participate in different cultures.
Cassaundra
I was born and raised in Orange County, California, and it has always been my happy place - I love the beach and warm sunshine! I am a kindergarten teacher at a local public school. Knowing I can impact the kids’ lives is what I love most about my job.

I love everything about being a mom and consider it my greatest privilege! Waking up knowing I get to be a mom is the best feeling, and I love doing life with my son by my side. I feel very fortunate because I have wanted a child for as long as I can remember. I love the bond and relationship I have with Miller; he lights up our whole world. I can’t wait to form a special bond with our newest addition. I look forward to them joining us on our great adventures, playing outside together, going on spontaneous trips to the beach, running around, and filling the house with belly laughs from games of chase.

I am lucky to have grown up among the beautiful pine barrens of southern New Jersey. My passions align with my role as the General Manager of a hospitality-based ranch property in the Santa Ana Mountains. I am very proud of the opportunity to start a business from the ground up with the property owners. My job is meaningful because I can spend my days outdoors, share my passions with the guests, and each day is different.

My free time has changed over the years; it went from finding the next adventure with my wife and friends to finding opportunities to teach my son and help him learn from our experiences. I love spending all my time with him and enjoy sharing my passions with him as he grows and learns. As we prepare to grow our family through adoption, I cannot wait to share our lives with our new addition and help them form their experiences.
