About Us
Our Story
We are Sam and Kelley. We live in downtown New York City with our cat Molly, in a vibrant neighborhood filled with a great mix of people, including lots of kids, and therefore playgrounds and great public schools nearby, all within walking distance (we walk a lot in New York). We got married in 2019 after dating for a couple of years. We knew on our first date that we were supposed to be together. When we met, we immediately felt like family, like we’d known each other for years. Kelley liked that Sam had the same vibe as much of her family. He got along with everyone. She liked that he was hard working, with a great sense of humor.
Our Home
We have a great apartment made nicer by the friends and family we have coming and going all the time. Our home is the central hub for our circle. Meals are social time, and we love having everyone who stops by involved in the preparation and cooking, including children. The meal prep is the most fun part. We have a big dining room table that can fit a lot of people around it, so we mix the crowd up—usually family, and a sprinkle of friends, plus work colleagues.
Kelley
Sam was born and raised in Manhattan. Kelley was born in Brooklyn, but she grew up in Miami, so we like to spend time there. The nice thing about New York and Miami is the ease of traveling between the two cities, which we do about four times a year. We like the change of scenery and sunshine. When we go to Florida, we love spending time with family and friends at the beach, and of course going to Disney World. Your child would enjoy the best of these two great cities.
Sam
Sam is a cartoonist and will make sure there’s lots of art and creativity in your child’s life. Kelley is the sporty one in the family. She likes to be outside and plans the big adventures, which means there will be bike rides and hikes, mini golf, and visits to the amazing parks here. We share a love of culture and so will expose your child to all of the great museums this city has to offer, and as many Broadway shows as we can fit in.
