About Us
Our Story
We met randomly at a bar in Cape Coral in August 2011. It was a place that we both hung out at but had never crossed paths.
Emily made a smart comment to Rob, he turned around, we made eye contact, Rob said "wow" and that was it; we both knew at that moment that we were head over heels. We went on our first date the following evening and have spent every day together since.
Rob proposed on a random Wednesday evening in February 2014 and we got married at a resort in Islamorada Florida the following November.
Lucas joined the family in March 2018 after Emily spent 22+ weeks on bed rest.
Our Home
We have a beautiful home in an amazing subdivision full of nature and families.
We have 3 bedrooms upstairs, living room and den on the main floor and a large family room/play area along with an office/guest room in the basement.
We get deer and rabbits in the backyard, lots of birds for Lucas and Rob to identify and we're all enjoying how the squirrels and chipmunks play in the trees.
When it snows, all the kids in the cul-de-sac sled on the hill across the street from the house.
And we're so lucky to live just steps from the Community Pool where Lucas and Rob spend as much time as possible in the summer!
And Lucas and all the neighborhood kids love the KidKraft playground in the backyard.

We are so lucky to have found a home in family centric, loving community. Not only are we in a quality and diverse school district, but we are walking distance to the day care center where Lucas attended (and loved) Pre-K and the elementary school he'll start kindergarten in. Lucas loves to walk to the playground, or the nature park just outside the community.
Additionally, our cul-de-sac has more than 10 children of various ages, amazingly supportive families and an abundance of fun in all the seasons. Our city Parks & Rec department is always coming up with new things for kids to do from Yeti hunts in the winter, to "Power Wheels Grand Prix" in the summer.
Lucas really loved to swim when we lived in Florida so we are fortunate that our community has a pool and that it's right across the street from our neighborhood!
We are very close to the library, walking distance to our favorite pizza / ice cream shoppe, and there are tons of playgrounds, indoor playgrounds and activity centers in the area.
We spend a lot of time at the Children's Museum, nearby Zoos and exploring our state.

Emily is confident and supportive with love that is fully unconditional. She makes caring decisions that have the most positive impacts. Emily is the best, she is ALWAYS there to help Lucas manage his emotions.
She can be a lot of fun and loves to plan themed parties and surprises. Recently, Lucas's Wild Kratt's birthday party was amazing! She is the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and the one that is there to make sure Lucas has those great memories

Rob
Written by Emily: "Rob is absolutely my favorite person in the world. He is an amazingly caring husband and father and Lucas and I are reminded daily that he is a blessing in our lives.
He and Lucas love to tell corny Dad jokes and they both have fabulous comedic timing. Rob is the parent that can be bone tired but will still say "yes" anytime Lucas asks to do something fun. While in Florida, there was never a time that Rob turned down a jump in the pool, and in Michigan he will walk to the playground in the snow, when it's freezing, or after a long day of work.
As a husband, Rob is kind, caring, and compassionate. He makes me feel so special, so loved and I know how much he cares about me every time we make eye contact. I love that we both work from home because we can meet on the main floor for lunch every day.
Rob is the one that makes the best breakfasts, reads the stories before bed (with character voices), keeps the house clean and all the light bulbs working."
