Tessa and Hudson

We know that the adoption journey doesn't end at birth. We look forward to building a lifelong relationship with you!

Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. Tessa is an adoptee herself, has a relationship with her birth family, and also has an adopted brother. Hudson has an adopted mother and younger sister. If you are interested and would like to know Tessa's experience of being apart of an open-adoption, she would love to share that perspective with you.

A brief introduction to who we are: Tessa is a psychotherapist who loves spending time with extended family, being out in nature, and playing with our two spoiled pups. Hudson owns a small retail store who loves camping, being active, and is passionate about sustainability. We both love hiking, weight lifting, and exploring new places. We are a dual-income family and have stable jobs and own a home. Hudson works at his store 3 days a week and is able to work remotely the other days, and Tessa's position is hybrid.

We love family traditions and spending time with extended family. Every summer we go to Cape Cod and go on a family camping trip with our families. During the winter time Hudson and I travel to St. John, USVI. We celebrate Christmas and love making Christmas cookies and decorating our tree with hand-made ornaments.

We hope that this gives you a little insight into who we are. We would love to get to know you more, however if you feel like we aren't the best fit for you and your child, we wish you nothing but love as you continue on this path.

Who We Are

We met in San Diego, CA, after Tessa moved there just a few months prior. At the time we met Tessa was in graduate school finishing up her degree in Social Work, and Hudson was the head trainer at a local gym.

Our life in San Diego was fun and full of adventures. We bought our first home, spent countless hours at the dog beach with our dogs Onyx and Copper, and eventually got married there.

During the pandemic we decided to move to Austin, TX. This was short lived, as it was decided only a year later that we wanted to move back to the east coast where Tessa was from to be closer to her family. We live right next to Tessa's parents and feel so lucky that Hudson's mom and stepdad are soon going to moving out here too!

Our relationship was built on a foundation of unconditional love and support, kindness, and mutual respect. We strive to always push ourselves to be better than we were the day before, and apologize for our mistakes when they inevitably happen. We are both silly, quirky, and love to make each other laugh, while also being calm, reserved at times, and nurturing.

Our goal as parents is to help our child became whoever they want to become. We would love to have an open-adoption where baby boy or girl never has any doubt or question about who they are or where they come from.

We hope to build and create a loving and lifelong relationship with you, one where yearly visits occur and pictures are regularly sent.

If it feels like we may be a good fit, please feel free to text us at 925-392-1220, or direct message us through here. We would love for you to get to know us more, and for us to get to know you!

Adoption Diary

Reminiscing on this summer day

We couldn’t believe how beautiful this night was. It had just rained and an absolutely gorgeous rainbow formed over our vegetable garden. You can’t see it in the picture but it was actually a double rainbow.

Having two active dogs we spend a lot of time outside and love have acres of land to explore. We used to live in the suburbs and we (and our dogs) love living out here in the country. Especially since it’s like having a park with 24/7 access right outside of our door. In the winter time we spend just as much outside- just bundled up in more clothing! Whether that be skiing or building snow forts, we love all the activities.

Our profile is live- on Thanksgiving Day!

I (Tessa) am sitting here typing this surrounded by family as they trickle in from out of state. It is quiet right now, everyone resting from their drives. We will officially be celebrating tomorrow when everyone gets here. Hudson and I just prepped the mac-n-cheese and sweet potato casserole. Thanksgiving is usually either spent with my family in NY, or with Hudson’s family in CA. This year, we stayed close to home and with my parents. Hudson’s mom and step-dad are planning on moving out here within the next year or so. We are very excited to have them closer to us. Hudson’s dad still lives out in CA which we don’t mind- gives us an excuse to always go back to CA and enjoy palm trees + warm air :)

Today I am so thankful for him, my family, and being surrounded by positive energy and love.
