There is no way we can imagine what you are going through and the choices you are making, but we are in awe of your strength and courage. We are truly and profoundly thankful for you.

We promise that you will always be valued and respected. We welcome whatever level of contact you feel comfortable with, including exchanging pictures and videos, arranging video calls and visits. We understand how positive and beneficial it is for the birth family to remain connected with your child. We truly want to support on going contact and are willing to travel to ensure this happens. However, if you prefer a closed adoption we respect this as well.

As parents, we believe that it is our responsibility to support your child in whatever it is that they are excited about. We promise to provide them with unlimited opportunities to explore their passions, whatever they may be. We are excited to provide your child with many extra curricular activities, including sports, dance, music lessons, robotics, horseback riding, and more. Our goal is to give your child every opportunity to succeed and flourish. We promise to love your child unconditionally and always seek the best for them. We place a high value on education and will do everything we can to ensure that your child has the best educational opportunities possible.

Who We Are

We have been together for 9 years and married for almost 3 years. We truly believe that life is better when we are together. We love spending time together, whether that is going out to dinner, cooking together, or just watching tv, we just love being together.

We both were raised in the church (Curt as a Catholic and Molly in a non-denominational church). These values have stayed with us and we continue to attend both Catholic and Christian church services. Our faith is our foundation.

We both love to travel and visit museums. There is so much to learn when you travel and we love to soak it all in. We are very excited to take your child on all kinds of adventures and share our love of travel with them.

We live in Happy Valley, a suburb of Portland, Oregon. We are literally surrounded by family - we all live within 2 blocks of each other in the same neighborhood! Our family consists of Curt's parents, Curt's sister, her husband, and their 3 kids, and Molly's mother. Both of our parents are retired and are so excited to help raise your child.

Our family also includes Curt's son Levi from a previous marriage. Levi is 10-years old and is so excited to be a big brother. He spends every other weekend with us during the school year and every other week with us during the summer. We also have 2 dogs, Bear and Chompy. They are hypoallergenic mini schnoodles (poodle/schnauzer mix), who adore kids.

Our family loves baseball and cheering on our favorite MLB team, the St. Louis Cardinals. Every few years the Cardinals play a 3-game weekend in Seattle and it has become a family tradition for the whole family to travel to Seattle together to watch all 3 games. Whether we drive or take the train together, the kids love spending the weekend together.

Our family is very close and Molly's mom has become a second grandma to all of the kids. We spend lots of time cheering on the kids at their sporting events. Birthdays and holidays are also big events and the family always comes together to celebrate.

We love to celebrate holidays and decorate our home for Halloween and Christmas. At Halloween we decorate our house from top to bottom with skeletons dressed as pirates, witches flying on brooms around our wraparound front porch, fake boarded up windows, and holograms in the window. Our house has become the house to visit on Halloween night. At Christmas we decorate the house with lights, garland, and decorated Christmas trees all around our wraparound porch.

Adoption Diary

Spring is here!

Spring is such a beautiful time of year, when flowers start blooming and the days are longer, but it also means law school finals are fast approaching! Molly is in her 2nd year of law school and finals are coming at the end of the month. She’s starting to dig in, prep her notes, and write her outlines. After finals are done at the end of April Molly will be in her 3rd and final year of law school. While it takes a lot of work and dedication to succeed in law school while being a wife and “bonus” (step) mom, Molly knows that it is all worth it.

Molly plans to be a stay at home mom and take time off from law school when we are blessed with a child. Until then, she’s studying hard to achieve her dream of being a lawyer.

Busy weekend!

It was a beautiful spring weekend here in Happy Valley, Oregon, which meant lots of yard work and family DIY projects. The weekend started with Curt and his father, Denny, helping Molly’s mom, Jean, install new stone to her fireplace. The fireplace is almost finished and is looking amazing. Of course Bear and Chompy came along to help. We couldn’t leave them at home! It’s so great that our parents are such good friends and view each other as family.

The rest of the weekend was spent working in the yard cleaning up from the winter. Leaves were raked, grass was mowed, and weeds were pulled. We, along with Curt’s dad, Denny, spent last summer building a water feature with multiple waterfalls in our front yard. It’s been turned off for the season and we were able to clean it out and turn the water back on. It is such a beautiful and peaceful addition to our front yard!

Bear and Chompy also loved spending all day outside chasing leaves, fetching sticks, and just being with the family. They both love being outdoors! It was such a beautiful weekend to be outside. Curt’s sister and her kids, who live 2 blocks up the street, stopped by a few times to play with Bear and Chompy and just hang out. Its one of the best things about us all living in our 2-block village!
