About Us
Our Story
For several years both of us lived and worked in New York City, where we met in late 2010. Kevin O. works as a pastor in the Lutheran Church, while Kevin M. works in finance. After getting married and living on Long Island for a couple years, Kevin O. accepted a position at a new church in early 2021. So we packed up and moved to a new house in a lovely suburban town north of NYC, where we've been getting settled and exploring the area.
Both of us are Pennsylvania natives. Most of our family is still in central or eastern PA within a 3 hour drive of us, and we get to enjoy spending holidays and vacations with them, as well as having them visit us in the NYC area for extended stays. One of the highlights of our year is our annual trip to Ocean City, NJ, where we rent a house with everyone to enjoy time at the beach, the boardwalk, and evening board games with family.
We're happy to live a relatively simple lifestyle. While we've enjoyed some fun vacations around the world, we're most content to curl up on the couch with a good book (especially in front of a fire on a chilly winter night!), play a board game, watch some of our favorite shows/movies, or go on walks around our town. Last but not least, we're the proud parents of two adorable, fun-loving cats!
Our Home
After moving into our three bedroom house in early 2021, we've been enjoying various projects including installing a new kitchen and working on the yard. Kevin O. is the outdoor specialist, spending countless hours building out his raised flowerbeds, planting flowers/bushes, and also tending to numerous vegetable/herb gardens that Kevin M. enjoys cooking with. Recent additions to the outside include a bee house and a home weather station to monitor the conditions (Kevin M. being a bit of a weather nerd!).
Beyond the house itself, our village is incredibly walkable. The downtown area is a few blocks away, with a train station into NYC, shops/restaurants, a grocery store, and a farmers market on the weekend. All of the town schools are also within walking distance, and there are lots of families in our neighborhood with young children that we've been getting to know. We consider ourselves very fortunate to live here and believe it would be a wonderful place to raise children!

Kevin always wants the best for those close to him. He takes pride in keeping us healthy and organized: he loves cooking healthy and nutritious meals, keeps on top of our finances and budget, and plans fun activities for us to relax. He’s detail oriented and a great planner, which helps keep the household running smoothly.
I know that when our children grow up, we will need someone who can help us stay on top of the many time commitments families face today, and Kevin will be great in this regard. For him, the sky’s the limit when it comes to what’s possible. His gentle nature, unwavering goals, and intellectual aptitude will be great in encouraging our kids to do their best. What more could a child want?

One of the things I love most about Kevin is that he’s always authentic and is confident in who he is, which allows him to easily connect with all different types of people. He also doesn’t sweat the small stuff and knows how to relax and take in the view. While we have similar values and goals in life, his style offers a good balance to my “Type A” personality, and we make a good team.
Kevin is a natural around children. He worked at a daycare while in college, and nowadays he frequently interacts with the children at his church’s nursery school as well as through Sunday School and Youth Group. I’ve seen first hand the way he connects to kids of all ages and makes them feel special and included. I know he’ll be a wonderful, loving parent to our own children someday.
