Christian & Aaron

Aloha!

We are Aaron and Christian; hopeful first-time parents. We have been together for over six years, and have been married for almost three years. Even while dating, we dreamed of having a child. We share a deep faith in God’s plan for us and pray that our journey to parenthood will be successful. We did try to conceive on our own and through help from specialists. It just wasn’t the plan for us.

We love living in the Portland area – and love that we get to be in Hawaii often too. We have large families in Oregon, Hawaii and Texas, who support our journey as well. Aaron’s mother is one of eight siblings – and the last one waiting to become a grandparent. Her prayers for a grandchild to love and spoil are relentless. Our future child will be the 10th grandbaby in Christian’s family. Our child will be loved by so many.

We hope your path can merge and continue with ours, and that you can see in us what you are looking for as well. We welcome the opportunity to meet you.

Love,
Aaron & Christian

Who We Are

We met in the Honolulu Airport in August of 2015. Christian was lost, trying to find her gate and Aaron had just finished working a flight. He walked up to her and asked if she needed help. (He walked her all the way to her gate!) A few days later, Aaron switched his schedule to make sure he worked her return flight to Portland. They quickly found out they were both Oregon State Alumni, and made plans to meet up in Ann Arbor, Michigan for their first date, a Beaver football game. Go Beavs!

Adoption Diary

New Basketball Hoop for Grandma’s House!

We spent the last three days in Hilo, Hawaii, helping Aaron’s mom with projects around her house. Aaron grew up shooting hoops on the driveway, but the hoop and backboard he used was overdue for an update. Despite the warm rain, we were able to install a brand new backboard and hoop for all to use. Aaron is looking forward to teaching our child how to shoot baskets!

Off to Hawaii!

We are headed to Hilo to visit Aaron’s mom today to help with some work around her house (hale in Hawaiian). Christian likes to work on her Hawaiian inspired quilt on the flight.
