First and foremost we want to
for choosing to read our story and gain just a glimpse of who we are as a couple.
We are Kristin and Steve and we have been trying to grow our family for quite some time. We are looking to fulfill the dream of becoming parents for the first time and because of YOU that might be possible.
How does a Hollywood actress and an Oklahoma native meet? Sometimes we find ourselves asking the same question. We met at a wedding in Houston 18 years ago. One thing led to the next and before we knew it, we were in a 4 year long-distance relationship. One of our favorite memories of us meeting was when Steve told Kristin he was from Oklahoma. Kristin said "Where is that? Do cows roam around the streets?". Yes, she was serious. Eventually, Kristin decided she wanted to make the move to Oklahoma. After finally living in the same state, Steve waited a year and a half before proposing. He had to have known Kristin's answer would be "yes", because lets me honest, who moves from California to Oklahoma!?
We had reached the time in our relationship and in life that we wanted to start growing our family. To our dismay this wasn't as easy as we thought it would be. Our 13 year long fertility journey seems like the worst nightmare. We both had talked about wanting to adopt when discussing starting our family. So we listened to our hearts and would love the opportunity to give a child the best life they deserve. No child should be treated differently because they're adopted. In fact we believe that because of your courageous act of giving them life, it allows them to be a leader and set examples to others.
love is love.
We will love your child unconditionally and support all of their incredible hopes and dreams. We want your child to be FEARLESSLY AUTHENTIC and embrace just how amazing they will be. We plan to provide any resources needed to allow them to reach their highest potential and beyond. We have big dreams for your child and hope you hear our hearts to know we will make anything possible.
Our home is located in Oklahoma. It is in an extremely safe part of town, placed at the end of a secluded cult de sac and centrally located in a great school district. Our house is surrounded by families with lots of young kids riding bikes and playing outdoors. We are conveniently located to many parks, recreational sports & activities, and fun restaurants. We are looking forward to taking our child to a fun park in town. This park is a child's dream. With numerous playgrounds, unlimited space to run, and lots of walking trails, it is a great family experience. We do not have a pool in our backyard, but still plan to get the proper education on swimming as we feel this is an important lesson for all young children to learn.
From one powerful woman to the other, I commend you for making this difficult yet selfless act to give your child the best life they deserve. Here is a little look inside my life. Growing up dancing since a young age, I knew I wanted to make DANCE my life long career. Los Angeles was the best place for my career to take off and I luckily landed my first television job at the age of 16 on the show "Days of Our Lives". After getting experience on television, I went on to dance for some top artists such as
BRITNEY SPEARS-PRINCE-CYNDI LAUPER
Although my love was performing and acting, teaching and mentoring young children was something I was very passionate about. I began working with older dancers and traveling across the country with a national dance convention. I would teach thousands of kids every weekend. It wasn't just about the art of dance that brought me joy.
It was about making a difference and a positive impact on these kids lives.
My name is Steve and I am so honored that you have chosen to read our profile. I would love to tell you a little bit about myself, although my wife Kristin is much cooler than I am. I was born and raised in Oklahoma. I attended the University of Oklahoma and then was accepted to medical school at Oklahoma State University. That took all of 11 years to complete and I was offered a job at a large health system where I work as a physician.
As a potential father, I plan on providing a safe, nurturing home. I want to be active in the upbringing of my child and provide them with a positive role model that they can emulate. I know being a dad will have its challenges, but it is something I have been dreaming about for so long that I will be diligent in trying to be the best dad that I can.
