It was a dreary weekend here so we spent part of Sunday playing one of our old favorite board games called Spirit Island. It’s way too complicated to play very often, but a nice challenge every once in a while. Throughout the pandemic we’ve found ourselves spending many hours playing board games to pass the time and stay safe. We look forward to teaching our future child to enjoy much less complicated classics like Connect Four or Go Fish. We’re a game loving family!

Now that it’s not so cold we’ve been able to get out and about on our bikes more. On the weekends we enjoy leisurely rides on some of the local trails and love to stop for an iced tea or baked treat along the way. There’s an amazing bakery right off one of the trails! Every year, Abby’s mom sends us a full Easter basket filled with goodies. This year, our basket included two bunny themed to-go mugs, which Kate has been enjoying on her commute to her job as a middle school reading teacher. Happy Easter!

Last April, we were thrilled to find out we “matched” with an expectant mom. In anticipation, we bought a few things we thought we would need, including a car seat. We were heartbroken when the match fell through, however we found some small silver linings along the way - such as our cat, Beans, assuming the car

We planted tons of flowers last fall and today we spotted our first daffodil in bloom! Kate got overly excited about it after the long winter so we just had to take a picture. We love working on the yard and are thrilled that warmer weather is here.
