John and Mark

Like so many 21st century couples we met virtually. From that first date in 2013, there was an unquestionable chemistry, but what really sealed the deal was Mark’s dog, Hope, who decided she was in love with John and Mark had to keep him.

November 2015 we proposed to each other on the same day! How, you ask? John decided he was going to propose to Mark over Thanksgiving weekend. Mark decided it was the perfect time for him to propose to John. As John planned his flashmob proposal at our local park, our friends and family started secretly steering Mark to end his scavenger hunt proposal for John at the same park on the same day. It worked! As John finished the scavenger hunt, he got the big question, and then dropped the big question on Mark.

We've since renovated two apartments (ourselves!) and are settled into our beautiful Brooklyn neighborhood in a big two-bedroom with plenty of space for baby.
