Our Story

Sean and Michael first started speaking in the Summer of 2010, but it wasn’t until Halloween that year, that they actually met. It must have been love at first site, because Michael never left! We started dating, by January 2011 we started living together. Over the next few years our relationship grew stronger than ever. Getting engaged, becoming uncles, owning a restaurant, traveling across the US and finally marrying in June 2013. Our wedding was small, but intimate. We got married in the Hamptons of Long Island on the water surrounded by friends and family! Wouldn’t change a thing about that day!

As the years grew, so did we! We always spoke from the heart hoping one day to have children of our own. We would love to have Twins but giving love to any child would be a blessing and dream come true.

We always pictured children in our lives! After school, they would have Homework followed by Dance or Sport’s activities. And the weekends would be filled with adventure’s and family fun time.

We always imagined the kids could learn how to ski and tube at Nana & Pop Pop’s House in the Poconos durning the Winter or just learn how to play Piano right here in their own home.

Our Home

photo of adoptive family's home Nestled in central Suffolk, Long Island, Our postmodern Victorian home sits on a little over 1.5 acres with an inviting wraparound front porch. The perfect place to sit in the afternoon sun. Our backyard is a vacation paradise of its own, and all ready for play sets, sandbox and swing sets for the children. Our pool in our opinion, is the best part of the back yard!

Inside we have 4 oversized bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms upstairs. Downstairs is a 3rd bathroom, a large kitchen adjoining a cozy family room with a wood burning fireplace perfect for family time and gatherings. We also have a piano to expose our little ones to music from the earliest stages of their lives. There is a full basement ready to become a playroom media center as well. We have plenty of space that we can’t wait to fill with the sounds of children.

Dallas, Dacota & Ice are our fur babies. The sweetest and most playful pups ever. We also have over 25 chickens that we get fresh eggs from daily and a vegetable garden. Eating Organic is something we take pride in.

We have an awesome school district, with an extremely diverse culture. We have play grounds, animal farms, beaches, amusement parks, theatre studios as well as movie theaters all within reach of our home as well. Nothing short of a child’s dream come true!

Sean (Dad)

adoptive family photo - Sean (Dad) Born on Long Island, the son of a private business owner and a mother who worked for the state, Sean is the product of his parents Daniel & Beth. Sean has an older brother with four children and a younger sister who is his best friend. Sean grew up with Sundays known as ‘family day’ where they’d play outdoor sports, board/card games and always have family dinner. Sean went to school locally real estate as well as going to school for nursing and restaurant management. Growing up Sean worked for his fathers construction company where he became extremely skilled. Sean loves to learn and work with his hands. He is extremely spontaneous and loves a good challenge. Sean is now a lineman for the state electric company. Sean loves traveling, being outdoors, theater, his dogs, decorating for the holidays, and trying new restaurants. He loves spending his spare time watching his nephew’s play sports! Sean can’t wait to start family traditions and be ‘THAT’ Dad! Sean has always wanted TWINS, but he’ll be ecstatic just to become a father.

Michael (Poppa)

adoptive family photo - Michael (Poppa) Born and raised on the East End of Long Island, Michael is a lover of all things food, wine, and the outdoors. The son of parents who were both in the restaurant industry is what gave him his passions for cooking and dining out.

Michael has a huge love for the outdoors. Biking, running, swimming, working out and watching the sunset are just a few of his pastimes. He is one of the most nurturing, loving, and caring individuals I know. His gentle ways mixed with constant love and affection, will make him an awesome Poppa!

Michael's humor, honesty and selflessness, are what draw people to him. He always has a smile on his face and strikes up conversations with anyone , anywhere!

Michael speaks fluent Spanish and he can’t wait to teach our children.
