Who We Are
We met in 2011 through mutual friends, during our final year of college. After graduation John moved to the U.S. for work while Alex stayed in Canada. We maintained a long distance relationship for 2 years before John returned to Canada before eventually relocating to San Francisco together.
We are both fortunate to come from large families (Alex's very large) that are full of love and support.
Since moving to California 5 years ago we have taken advantage of the location and grown our love for travel. We try to take multiple trips per year and cannot wait to have a child to share the beauty of the world with.
In our free time we both love to cook and bake and can be found experimenting in the kitchen. Most of the time we end up with something delicious.
One year ago, just a few days before everything shut down, we went for a hike in the Rewoods. It was so cold and started to rain but it was refreshing to get out of the city and explore, especially considering what was about to happen in the world. This day was also extra special since Alex’s dad was in town visiting. He was the last family member we saw before the pandemic stopped travel.
We cannot wait for things to return to somewhat normal so we can see our friends and family again.
Today we packed a picnic lunch and drove up to Napa. We wandered around downtown and stopped at a park to eat our lunch while talking about our favorite times together over the last 10 years. It was a beautiful day and we look forward to many more day trips to explore in the future.
