Anthony and Carla met almost 9 years ago in Myrtle Beach, SC. Neither one of us has looked back, even though we love where we grew up.
Carla grew up in NJ and Anthony grew up in TN. Our families still live in our home states but we are pretty close to convincing them to move closer, as they are a huge part of our lives. Our parent hold very special places in our hearts as we have learned so much from them.
We both love the outdoors and it comes from the wood/mountainous areas were we grew up. Hiking, running, and, Anthony's love, scuba diving are just a few of the outdoor adventures we participate in.
We love to travel, as the world has so much to offer. It is amazing to try new foods, learn about different cultures, and just be able to 'wander.' Of course, traveling back to our home states is a favorite, but we loved Aruba and Ireland. On of our most memorable trips was to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, where 21 of our closest friends and family joined us for our wedding - we couldn't have asked for anything more.
Our dogs hold a special place in our hearts. Bailey is 5 year old Bluetick Coonhound and Daphne is a 4 year old Beagle Mix. Both of them are rescues. They are part of the family and join us in many adventures, even just the local ones to stores and restaurants. Bailey is a trained therapy dog. Both have been around our friend's children and just light up when they get to play.
Fall is one our favorite seasons! Carla enjoys the cooler weather, changing leaves and apple cider donuts. As Anthony is from TN, TN football is a staple on Saturday, sporting our orange and white!
We also enjoy our family traditions, and are excited to develop new ones. Christmas is Carla's favorite holiday and Anthony's birthday is Christmas day, so it is a very special time of year in our house.
Friends are another part of our life that we appreciate. We both have wonderful friends who are considered family. We would do anything for them and they would do anything for us.
As we both have careers related to education, we feel education is an important part of our lives and our future child's life. We are learning all the time and want to instill the importance and help guide them through life's 'goods and bads'.
Despite all of our great times we have had together, with friends, with family, traveling,....we are excited for a new chapter in our life, teaching our newest addition about our prior values and tradition, but building new ones and ensuring they grow up happy and healthy.
We live in a great neighborhood after building a new home approximately 2 years ago. The home is two stories with several bedrooms. It has large fenced in backward; no swing set yet, but would be an easy addition.
The development has many children who rides bikes and enjoy the amenities, including the pool. We also have wonderful neighbors who are willing to help.
Those are the words I can use to describe myself. I believe my family and friends would say the same.
I have been a Physical Therapist now for 19 years. My primary background is pediatrics as helping kids develop is vey special to me. Children are innocent and I love learning from them.
I am creative and love to craft in various ways, whether it be scrapbooking, painting, or even decorating.
I feel I would be a loving and caring parent as I am selfless. My parents have molded me to be a successful and devoted woman and I want to be able to share these traits.
I want to be there as a role model, teaching him/her about the positives of life, as well as the challenges. I also want to teach them some of things I find enjoyable, like scuba diving, hunting, playing sports, but also guide them to explore their own interests.
