We are fun-loving, active, and caring couple from New York. We live in a suburb 30 minutes from NYC.
Long before we met, Tony grew up in New Rochelle, Ny and Julie grew up in the South Bronx. Our paths unknowingly crossed when we took teaching jobs in the same school building in the South Bronx. We worked in separate schools within the same building.
Focused, dedicated and diligent as we were about out teaching, we never took notice of each other. Our friends now say there were at least two occasions in which we spoke , neither of us has any recollection of that.
We finally found each other on Match.com. We met for our first date outside of the school building where we'd both been working for three years! The sparks flew that night. Our humor and personalities re so similar. We grew up with the same love for family and values of honor and honesty. The same values we hope to raise our child with.
We balance each other perfectly. Tony is the calm to Julie's more energetic personality. Tony is the spontaneity to Julie's perfectly planned itinerary. We love spending time with each other or hosting friends and family for dinner parties and game nights. We love traveling and going on hikes.
We cannot wait to include our little one in all of the fun and encourage them to go on their own adventures.
We live in a tree lined cul-de-sac in Westchester, NY. We are 30 minutes from NYC, in fact Tony and I teach in the city and commute there daily. We live in a two story house and have two fireplaces that keep our home cozy in the cold months.
Our home is a close walk to local playgrounds and some of the best schools in the county. Our own home has a gorgeous backyard, that Julie thinks of as her own little oasis. We spend days swinging in the hammock, gardening, chasing our dogs, or cooking dinner on the grill.
We cant wait to include playing tag or catch with our baby as one of our backyard activities.
What to say about my brilliant wife?
I love Julie for her huge heart. She is always willing to give of herself to others. The way she cares for my nephews and nieces exemplifies this. Whenever we gather as a family, Julie is the first person to chat with them, to play with them, or read to them. She thinks of her ninety-two year old grandmother always, checking in with her, visiting her, or having her over for a backyard BBQ. She showers her twenty-one year old brother with love, forever making sure that he has everything he needs. She works hard for her students so that they can succeed.
I love Julie for the way that we complement each other so well. When I’m hesitant, she’s there to give me the confidence I need. When I am down, she’s there to lift my spirits. When I’m wrong, she sets me straight. We’re a team, and we push each other to be our best selves.
I love Julie for how smart, thoughtful and honest she is. Julie tells it like it is. I don’t know where I would be without her. She has changed my life for the better, and I am so thankful for that.
I know that Julie will make an awesome mother without question. She has so much love to give. She communicates effectively with children. She’s beyond ready for motherhood.
Tony and I met nearly 8 years ago. First thing I noticed were his kind eyes and a calm soothing voice that I knew I needed in my life. That is still the voice that calms my worries. Tony is my best friend. My rock. My biggest and loudest cheerleader. He’s one of the good ones and I am so incredibly blessed to have him.
While his favorite role is being a husband, Tony is also a middle school math teacher. He is a great leader with an amazing heart. Tony gives so much of himself in the classroom and is incredibly committed to his student's growth. His passion for teaching is inspiring and I love watching him further his career and lead others in the teaching community. He is a very gifted mathematician, speaker, and writer and deserves all the accolades he receives for the remarkable work he does.
I cannot wait to see Tony as a father. He is so dedicated and reliable in all of his relationships, he surely will triple that for his child. He’s a favorite uncle. He gets down on the floor and plays legos, he wrestles, and reads bedtime stories without hesitation. Children, young and older, absolutely adore him. He’s a great uncle and will make an exceptional dad!
