Mixed Race loving couple hoping to adopt! Call or email anytime!!

We are Lance and Fernanda and we are so happy to connect with you and get to know more about you and your path to adoption.

We have been married for 12 years but have been together for 18 years, and we have a lovely home in Seattle, WA. We share our home with our two dogs, Lola and Loki, who bring so much joy to our lives.

We are looking forward to being parents, and after many difficult years with infertility issues, we are grateful for the opportunity to adopt!

Adoption is close to our hearts since Lance was adopted at birth, and that is a subject we have always talked about. We know having gone through this journey himself will be very helpful for our child.

We are not perfect, but we are resilient and committed to navigating parenthood together as a couple and with the support of our family and friends. We value diversity, inclusion and kindness.

Our home is filled with love, laughter and gratitude and we have a great support system with friends and family.

We cannot wait to be called mom and dad. Thank you for considering us!

Who We Are

We are a mixed-race couple; Lance is originally from Iowa and Fernanda is from Brazil. We have been married for 12 years and together for 18 years.

We met online as we both had just recently moved to Seattle and didn't know many people. We went to Fremont Solstice Fair for our first date and have not been apart since.

We are a loving couple best friends and really enjoy spending time together. Our favorite thing to do is to travel- we love to research places and different cultures. We have visited over 30 countries so far.

Family is extremely important to us, especially since Lance was adopted at birth. We make an effort to see my family in Brazil at least once a year, but in the meantime, we are surrounded by friends who are like family to us.

This journey to parenthood has provided so many learning opportunities, and we are humbled by the chance to adopt and become parents.

Adoption Diary

And just like that, the holidays are here!

I can’t believe it is already mid December. This is was so tough for so many reasons, but it also had so many blessings. In the middle of a pandemic we found ourselves thankful for having jobs and even being able to buy a new home.
Nothing feels more like home than decorating for the holidays! Our dogs love the new place and specially the fireplace!
Our hopes are renewed with a new year coming in and we know 2021 will be the year we will become a family of 3.
We would love to get to know you both mom and support you on this decision, so fi you are still reading this post, email or call us, we are here for you.
Happy Holidays!

Pie time

It’s been a while since I posted here! We were so busy moving and now we are better settled (not fully) in our new home. Thanksgiving is this week and this is officially our first holiday in the new home. I love the holidays and cannot wait to celebrate many more here.
As a practice before the big meal, I made a an apple pie with sour cream. Lance said this is something his grandma used to make for him, and I have to say, it was so good! The sour cream cuts the tanginess of the apple. This may become our new tradition after all!
