We tied the knot in an intimate backyard ceremony surrounded by our closest friends and family. For our wedding, we wanted to do things a little unconventionally. We greeted our guests upon their arrival, so we could all enjoy each other’s company while we waited for sunset. Everyone gathered around at dusk, and a dear friend officiated the ceremony. We laughed and cried through our vows which were a blend of traditional and personalized words. The audience laughed and cried right along with us! For dinner, we served Italian fare from a pasta truck, and for dessert we served pies from a pie joint we’d eaten at the night Daniel proposed. That Cary Grant movie we both liked was called, ‘Bringing Up Baby’, and it played on a projector screen while we dined and danced the night away.
