Black Lives Matter
Race, racism and social justice aren’t new topics or new topics in our household. We can’t speak to the experiences of black people or a person of color, but we recognize we can listen, learn and grow. So right now, more than ever, we’re reading, we’re listening, we’re signing petitions and emailing legislators and we’re pushing ourselves to become better allies -asking ourselves ‘how can we can be the change?’ Black lives matter. We’re imagining ourselves as parents and while we have no idea what our child will look like, we we’re committed to doing our part to create a just and equitable world for black children and other children of color.
