We like to think of ourselves as a down-to-earth, fun-loving couple living our best lives in NYC! We met many years ago through mutual friends in Boston, MA and developed an instant connection. We love to laugh, eat, travel and most importantly, don’t take ourselves too seriously. Life is short and we want to savor every moment. Stanley loves all things sports, in particular, all things Mets, Colts and Wizards related! Vidya loves to drown herself in a good book, dance like nobody’s watching and indulge in some much needed R&R. Her motto is work hard, play hard! We have cherished our time together as a family of two, selfishly spoiling our beloved nephews and nieces, but as we enter this exciting next phase of our lives, we hope that we can grow our own family through adoption. We hope that our profile helps you learn a little more about us and we look forward to meeting you! Please contact us in any way you feel comfortable.

We live in a wonderful suburban neighborhood in Queens NY, called Astoria. We have called Astoria our home for 10 years and have fallen in love with it more and more every year. We can easily access the city, but at the same time, are separated from the overwhelming hustle and bustle lifestyle of Manhattan. Astoria is full of young couples and parents, and its residential neighborhood is interspersed with delicious restaurants, museums, art galleries and a historic park.
I think if I could describe myself with one word, it would be ‘compassionate’. I love my friends, my family, my precious nieces and nephews with all my heart. Everything else is secondary. I also am passionate about my career and I made a decision a long time ago, when I was in law school, that I wanted to wake up every morning and do something that made me feel excited to start my day. I’ve dedicated my career to a variety of public service jobs, and after all these years, I still feel fulfilled and excited about my job.
Our decision to adopt did not happen overnight and was not something that we entered into lightly. After years of struggles, we wanted to make sure that we were a 100 percent sure and fully invested before starting this journey. We thought about what “family” means to us and realized that it was as simple as unconditional love and support. We have never felt more ready to welcome a child into our lives and are eager and enthusiastic about what the future holds.
I am a real estate attorney by day, but my real passion is probably sports. My nephews and nieces are the center of my world and my wife jokingly describes me as a protective uncle and that she’s just second best. I think, endearingly. :)
I have a younger, and probably more mature sister who I grew up very close to -- Family is important it to us, and we often visit with our parents and sister's family in Long Island. We also have family in Massachusetts with more nephews and nieces and visit them often, before they grow up too fast. I love to laugh and try not to take anything too seriously, because life is too short to dwell on negativity. I am excited to enter this next phase of our lives and journey into adoption!
