We met in New York City, it was Hurricane Irene that really brought us together in 2011. A mutual friend had us over to hunker down and wait out the storm. We played games, cooked food, and enjoyed each other's company. We had a mutual love of food and drink, both of us working in the coffee industry. We loved enjoying the city together, taking in the sights, going for long walks, and learning so much about each other. (This is still true today!)
We each have tight knit families and that has always been an important part of our lives, especially when we were married and joined our families together.
We believe in open communication, laughter through the hard times, and that our family can make it through anything together!
We want to share our love and our lives with a very special child and we're so hopeful for what the future has in store.
Please check back soon for updates.
Amber on Matt:
Matt has a very sweet soul and he approaches life with care and kindness. I was so drawn to him when we met because of his curiosity and thoughtful nature.
Matt loves adventure and he dives in head first when it comes to new projects, whether it be at home or at work. He cares deeply for his family and for me, and he makes us his first priority.
I can’t wait to be a parent with Matt and to be able to share our world with children.
Matt works in the coffee industry, helping his clients build beautiful cafes and making sure all of New York City has access to the best coffee around!
Matt on Amber:
I met Amber in the midst of a Hurricane and my life has never been the same since. She’s been my partner, my coach, and in all ways my inspiration.
Amber has the incredibly unique ability to identify what is righteous and set out in its direction without compromise. She has shown and taught me countless lessons in our years together and shown me how to be the best man I can be.
It would make me incredibly proud and happy to share the gift of raising a child with such an intelligent and loving woman.
Amber is an incredible pastry chef and runs her own cafe. The whole neighborhood loves her treats, but I’m the lucky one she bakes for at home!
