Thanksgiving!
It’s Thanksgiving time again, and that means an amazing meal with family at our house. Thanksgiving at our house is a tradition we have been doing for years. This year it was a smaller gathering, only Jon’s Mom and Dad, his sister Lori and her fiancée Elisa, and of course Faye. That didn’t stop Faye from making lots of incredibly yummy food, and she does a great mix of traditional Thanksgiving items such as turkey, cranberry sauce with orange, stuffing and corn pudding, as well as some of her favorite Filipino recipes such as Molo Pancit, a chicken soup with very tasty dumplings. And Faye, being a trained baker and pastry chef, of course made amazing deserts, including a blueberry pie and a new pumpkin/apple cake recipe she created. It was an amazing meal and full of fun and family, and after dinner Jon’s sister Lori brought a bunch of arts and craft supplies, and we all spent time creating our own Christmas ornaments to decorate our trees. Jon was happy to see his sister who just recently bought a farm in Vermont with her fiancée and came down to spend Thanksgiving with us. There are so many leftovers (even after we sent everyone home with some), and we are so happy to have been able to spend time with family.
