Happy New Years to all! Jen and I have been busy traveling The States visiting family and friends. It was an enjoyable season for sure. New York during the holiday season cannot be beat. Seeing ice skaters skate next to Rockefeller Plaza and the causal shopper strolling down 5th Avenue among the holiday decorations is an experience to remember. The best part about the weekend, no rain or snow. It was mostly sunny, but a typical New England chill was in the air. A wonderful Christmas for sure!
On the way home, I was fortunate to be accompanied by Santa Clause himself. The reindeer were exhausted and Santa deserved some time off after delivering all those presents for those who were on the nice list. He was cheerful and already working on next year’s list.
Upon our return, we continued to celebrate Jen’s birthday in Portland, Oregon. The plan was to see John Oliver Saturday night after a nice dinner, but those plans fell apart as I accidently bought tickets to Sunday’s show instead. Excessive clicking sometimes leads itself to unintentional surprises. We both laughed it off and stayed another day to see the show.
We’re both back at home now celebrating 2020 and all it has to offer.
