About Us

Our Story

We met in May 2017 at a dueling piano bar in Seattle. We were smitten at first sight and have been together ever since! We love each other very much and plan to get married in the spring of 2020.

We love to travel! We are fortunate to have had time to travel the world together. Whether it's an international trip, a road trip close to home or visiting family in other states, we love seeking new experiences and getting to know more Some of our favorite trips have been to Paris, Barcelona, Cabo San Lucas and Malta. Jen's parents live in Hawaii so we visit them a few times a year. Her sister lives in New York, so we also head to the East coast a few times a year.

We're very active and like to go golfing, biking, hiking, jogging and boating. We like to watch sports - our favorite football team is the Seattle Seahawks. Jen lived in San Francisco for a few years so until the Sonics return to Seattle, she's also a Warrior's fan.

We enjoy all kinds of music. Jen grew up playing piano and hopes to teach her children to play someday. Paul learned to like country music when he met Jen ;) We've been to tons of concerts all over the U.S. including Pink, Gwen Stefani, Eminem, Rascall Flats, Coldplay, Lady Gaga and Dan & Shay. Music is always a part of our activities and we hope to share our love of music with our children.

We are happy to answer any questions and are more than willing to share more about our lives together, so please don't hesitate to reach out. Our relationship has been a fantastic adventure and we hope to continue the journey with a little one by our side!

Our Home

photo of adoptive family's home Home Sweet Home!

We live in a 3,200 square foot home in Snoqualmie, WA. Our home has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. We have plenty of room for laughter, love and play. We're planning to set up a nursery and a play room when we get to welcome a child.

We have fantastic views of Mt. Si from the front of the house and the first tee of Snoqualmie golf course from the back of the house.

We have a nice big yard just waiting for some kiddos to head out and play! Our side yard has plenty of space for badminton, soccer and a future swing set. (Oh, and there's a fire pit in the back yard for smores!)

We have a nice size living room, kitchen and family room where it's fun to snuggle up and watch a movie or listen to music with the fireplace going.

Our Community

Snoqualmie is certainly a beautiful place to call home! Known for the natural wonder of Snoqualmie Falls, we live in a town where families are out and about enjoying themselves. We have community playgrounds, swimming pools, plenty of parks and jogging trails, sports courts, skate parks ... even a kids' zip line!

There are farmer's markets, movie nights for kids at the park, and pancake feeds to raise money for local charities and sports teams.

Snoqualmie is officially recognized as Home of the Boeing Classic, and given that we live on the first tee of the golf course, we have a big party every year for family and friends to watch the competition from our backyard.

The city has many accolades as a thriving community, but we like that it's been awarded as a safe place to live and raise a family:

- #1 Safest City in Washington - National Council for Home Safety & Security (2019)
- #1 Safest City in Washington - Backgroundchecks.com (2019)
- #1 Safest City in Washington - SafeWise (2018 and 2019)

The Snoqualmie Valley School District provides high-quality educational opportunities and has also received numerous awards over the years as one of the best districts in the U.S. from publications such as Newsweek and US News & World Report.

About Paul

adoptive family photo - Paul I tend to be a private person at first, but as conversations progress and bonds are created, I open up. I love to take care of people in my life who support me and care for my well being. I adore family settings with laughter, great conversations, and excellent food.

I'm very fortunate to have met Jen when I did. I was in the right place at the right time for our paths to cross. It was a magical moment which has provided me with some of the best experiences in my life. I love Jen and her passion as a person to make people feel important about who they are and where they can go. She is a true motivator with a big heart.

As a couple, Jen and I complement each in an extraordinary way. We balance each other out and assist the other person when needed. As future parents, I'm excited about our road ahead.

About Jen

adoptive family photo - Jen My favorite things in life are spending time with family and friends, traveling to new places, and getting outside and being active. Paul and I have a very loving and respectful relationship. I knew very early on that he was the person I wanted to be with forever. We share the same aspirations and ambitions, and we genuinely want to experience the rest of life together. We think adding a child or children to our family will be the most amazing experience of all.

I've always wanted children but just never found the right partner until Paul. It's important to me that we have a family unit, so I was excited to learn early in our relationship that Paul felt the same way. We tried for a child for about a year, but due to infertility issues, a biological child is not an option.

The process of adoption has already been such a humbling and phenomenal experience. I would be honored to share our life with any child or children who need a loving home.
