Adopt Our Family

Hello! We are hoping to be adopted! We're a happy little family of three: A musical, stay-at-home mom; A playful dad with a local job in the military; And a toddler with a teddy-bear heart. We're far from perfect, but we have many perfectly happy moments. ;)

We are forever grateful to our son's birth mom who gave him the gift of life so we could share our lives with him. We want more than anything to now expand our family. What we want even MORE though, is for you to find moments of peace in your journey. Peace in knowing you have the resources, support, options, and information you need to make a decision that is right for you and your little one.

We would love to be a part of your journey to any extent and have so much more to share! Watch a video in the Videos Tab, or read the Couples Q&A in the About Tab. Or feel free to ask us any questions of your own. You can text us at 801-335-9501.

Who We Are

We like to say that the angels arranged our marriage using the internet, but we "met" in California. Abraham was in military training, so Chanté conveniently visited her brother who lived nearby. It was love at first date and we said "I do" one year later to the day.

Fast forward six years through four moves, two graduate degrees, and one adopted son, and we'll both tell you that love takes on new meaning with trials and with time. When nurtured in the right way (and we're constantly learning more what that means) love becomes even more beautiful than we ever could have imagined when we first met.

If you ask us to name our best friends (besides each other) we will both say, "My siblings." This similarity helps us be more supportive of each other's desire to stay connected to family. We also share religious beliefs and encourage each other in our discipleship of Jesus Christ.

Chanté: I'm a time optimist. I always think there's time to do one more thing before I leave, and I'm usually wrong.
Abraham: In the military, if you're not 15 minutes early, you're late.
Chanté: Good thing I'm not in the military. (But I am trying to improve!)

. . . . . . . . . . .

We know you're riveted by our Q&A so far, *winks* but to spare you a million words on this screen we'll save the rest for our adoption profile book. Let us know if you'd like a copy.

Your Adoption Plan: A Patchwork Quilt

Since no two stars, snowflakes, or human stories are the same, the reasons for creating an adoption plan - as well as the plans themselves - are as personal as an patchwork quilt.

We imagine the process to be like stitching pieces of your heart and soul together. We can only imagine the mosaic of emotions.

If you find yourself in that place, know that we’ve got your back.

Yes, we want be considered as adoptive parents for your child, but what we want more is for you to find moments of peace - Peace in having the resources and support you deserve. Peace in considering your options. Peace in knowing everything about us you’d like to know. We especially hope you have peace in a post-placement plan that matches your comfort level for contact and leaves breathing room to adapt should you want to change the script.

We want to be here for you and your child - always.

What We Enjoy Doing Together

We both like to travel and spend time outdoors. Often Chanté will ride her bike while Abraham chooses to run beside her. It’s our “different methods, same path” approach.

Chanté taught Abraham how to enjoy thrift stores and he reintroduced her to the joy of Disneyland. At home, we watch comedies or documentaries - always with two bowls of popcorn because Abraham thinks Chanté adds too much butter.

Thank You for Visiting Our Adoption Profile

We want to thank you for considering us as adoptive parents for your child.

We truly appreciate your kindness and strength and look forward to hearing from you.
