We met six years ago at a friend's birthday party. We instantly connected, and two years later, we were married. We have been fixing up an old house, traveling, hiking, canoeing, and spending time with friends and family. We love to be active and outside, but we also like to watch our favorite shows together. Our weekends are filled with visits with our families, time spent with friends, and DIY projects for our house. We are definitely the happiest when we are together and look forward to sharing that joy with a little one.
Our home has been one of our biggest adventures.
We have been working hard on taking an old house
and making it ours. We have spent countless hours playing "Fixer Upper" and doing everything from jack hammering to insulation. While we still have projects that we would like to do, our house is ready to welcome a little one. Our dog loves our big, fenced-in backyard and can't wait to have a human buddy to run around with. We live in a quiet neighborhood that is close to everything. The school, two parks and several restaurants are within walking distance, and the hospital is only a 5 minute drive. We love taking evening walks around the neighborhood and can't wait to continue this tradition with our children!
Collin is an amazing man, and I am beyond blessed to call him my husband and best friend. His laid-back, warm, and gentle personality make it so easy to be around him. When he is not throwing a frisbee with our dog, you may find him reading a sci-fi book or preparing an intricate, new recipe. I know that he will be a wonderful father by his kind and supportive heart. He has been my rock throughout our infertility, which is a true testament to how strong and loyal he is. I know that he will treasure our future children and give them all that he has. He is so loving and patient with all of our friends' children as well as our niece and nephew. I can't wait for the day that someone calls him Daddy.
Meg is the most caring, wonderful person I have ever met. Asking her marry me was the best thing that's ever happened to me. She has an incredible amount of love to give. She has been teaching Kindergarten and First Grade for the last ten years, so she spends a lot of time with children and gets great joy from being with them. She has grown in patience, compassion, and dedication as a teacher. Meg also loves an adventure. Right after college she did mission work for two and a half years in Indonesia and Togo. She is excited to start the next adventure - the most meaningful one - of motherhood.
