A Rainy Day Is A Day to Make Oatmilk
It’s been awhile since I posted. Have been having problems loading new photos onto my computer from my phone. Here’s a picture of store bought oat milk, which tends to be a little pricey and is only good for 2 weeks.
A new project in the past 2 months is to make fresh oat milk, which tastes better, is inexpensive and pretty easy to make, rather than buying it from the store. I try to do a large grocery haul, but inevitably forget to buy something here and there, and the more things I can create from scratch, the more ability I have to stay at home if I want to. I figure, this will be helpful for future motherhood as well.
This week, I’m starting with 1/2 cup of oats, soaking in filtered water for 8 hours, before I pour it into the Nutribullet for 10 seconds, and then through the nut milk bag, ready to put in my coffee or drink. Since adulthood, have not well tolerated cow’s milk, so it’s great to have oat milk on hand.
