About Us

Our Story

Rich and I met in 2003 at a Comedy show in Manhattan.  We had an instant connection and immediately started dating.  In 2010, we bought our new home and shortly after we got married. In December of 2011 we welcomed our son RJ to the family.

Family is very important to both of us.  We see our families very often, usually every weekend.  My (Nicole) dad is in Queens and a brother, sister in law, niece & nephew on Long Island.  Rich’s family consists of his parents on Long Island and his sister, brother-in-law, and 2 nephews that also live on Long Island.  We are very close to our family and make it a priority to spend time with them and make lasting memories.

We would love to add a new member to our family.  Our hope is to have at least one more child to make our family complete.  RJ would love to be a big brother and prays for that each night.    Conceiving a second time around has proven to be challenging and we would love to grow our family through the miracle of adoption.
Just know that a precious little one in our family will be loved, cherished and adored.

Our Home

photo of adoptive family's home Our home was purchased in 2010. It is located on Long Island NY. We live on a quiet block, across the street from a park. We have wonderful neighbors and the neighborhood is filled with young children. The school district is excellent and there is great sense of community here. We built an inground pool in 2016 and in the summertime, the house is always bustling with family and friends visiting for a barbecue/pool day. In addition, we have redone the entire basement and it is great play area for children. This town also boasts of many beaches, ball fields and parks.

About Nicole

Nicole was raised in Queens by two loving parents and has a brother that is 4 years older.  In addition to that, Nicole has a first cousin that has always been like a sister to her, celebrating every holiday, every birthday and enjoying every vacation together.  With that being said, family is the most important thing in my life.  My parents were married for almost 50 years, when my mom passed away in 2012.  Fortunately, she got to meet RJ, whom she loved dearly and spoke about often to her friends.  I see so many qualities in myself that I know my mom has instilled in me.

One of the things I enjoy the most is helping others.  To that end, through a bumpy road with many hurdles, I became a Physician Assistant.  With this, I help people every day and this brings me great joy.  Although not always a happy profession, I do what I can to bring a smile to my patient’s faces.  In addition to this, my passion is to travel.  I love to see new places and take new adventures.  I would love to travel with RJ as he gets older, to learn about different cultures and different people.  My dad is from Greece and when I was a child, we would travel to Greece every other year to visit grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.  My culture and heritage are a big part of who I am and I am proud of where I came from.

I addition to travel, I also enjoy reading, writing, museums, broadway plays/shows, music/concerts & dancing.

Life has taught me resilience and I know that nothing good comes easy.  You are given one life, so be true to your dreams.  Always cherish every moment, regardless of how monumental or minuscule it may appear to be.  And always, always, give thanks for your blessings.

About Rich

I was raised in Queens by two loving parents and have an older sister who is married with two children and a dog.  When buying my home, I chose a neighborhood that was close to my family so we could be near each other. My family is of Italian descent and are very close to us.

I am a retired NYC police officer.  I loved my job as there was never a dull moment and it kept me very busy.  I am currently a stay at home dad and my top priority is making sure my son gets a good education and realizes his full potential in life.  It is the hardest job, but it is one that I cherish and take very seriously.

For fun, I like to watch/play sports, collect sports memorabilia, and work around the house.  Over the years, I have been actively involved in various construction projects within the home making it ready to welcome another child into our lives.   I am very handy and take pride in the home that I created with my wife. I also enjoy cars, movies, music, electronics, and getting together with my friends.  I also love cooking, baking, anything Disney related and my favorite holidays are  the 4th of July and Christmas.  I love to decorate the home for the holidays and make the season as festive as I can.

Nicole, RJ and myself feel really excited and blessed to be on this journey to complete our family.
