We met while attending college back home in Burlington, Vermont. That was back in 2012 and it has been a wonderful adventure ever since!
We got married in May of 2016 on the beach in Folly Beach South Carolina. It was the most perfect day we could have ever imagined!
In April of 2017 we decided to relocate to North Carolina from New England. We bought our first home and absolutely love the community!
We like it so much that Nick's Mom even decided to retire down here! She lives near by and that has been such a great thing for us as a family!
Since moving to North Carolina we have made numerous friends and met a lot of great people. We have become very involved in dog rescue and helped place a several dogs in forever homes. Our pup Carly is also a big part of our lives, she comes on all kinds of adventures with us! We couldn't imagine life without her!
We are very fortunate to come from close families who we truly enjoy spending time with! We especially look forward to visits home to Vermont to see our siblings, niece and nephew!
We live in a wonderful neighborhood with tons of other young families in it. The neighborhood has sidewalks, walking trails, playground and a community pool! It is truly a great community that values family. This year the county is building a new elementary school that will be within walking distance. The high school is also very close!
We have grown close with our neighbors and truly feel lucky to live here!

Jess is the most selfless and caring person I have ever met. She has always put others before herself. Jess spent a month in Uganda at an orphanage (Malayaka House) volunteering with them and she spent a week in Nicaragua working with a nonprofit building biogas systems for local families. For Jess, family always comes first. She is the middle child of two brothers and despite all their differences she loves both of them very much. Jess and her mother are very close, they talk on the phone almost daily to catch up and gossip a little bit. She also loves and cares deeply for our niece and nephew, Ava and Chase. One of her favorite parts of visiting Vermont is getting to spend time with both of them. Jess graciously welcomed me and my family into hers and I am lucky enough to be part of it. Now, more than anything else in the world, Jess wants to welcome a baby into our family to love and cherish. I know she will love and care for this child more than anything else. She will make sure this child has the very best and will do anything for them.

Nick is one of the kindest, most selfless people I have ever met. He always goes above and beyond for his friends and family. Nick's father passed away when he was young so he grew up to be very close with his mother and the rest of his awesome family. He is always willing to jump to help his Mom and Grandmother with whatever they may need.
His Mom and Grandma moved to NC to be closer to us and that has been amazing! How lucky could a child be to have a grandmother right down the road? He is an amazing husband and makes me feel so loved every day and I know he’ll do the same for this baby. Nick makes me laugh every single day and I love him for that. His entire family has welcomed me with open arms and I know they will do the same for this child. Nick leaves a positive impression on everyone he meets. He is just an extremely kind, likeable person. Nick is fortunate enough to truly love his job. He works as a cyber security consultant for RSA Security. He works from home so his schedule is very flexible even though he occasionally travels to customers.
