Family means everything to us and we can't wait to grow ours through adoption!

Dear Expectant Mom,

We want to first thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about us. As parents ourselves, we cannot even begin to imagine how difficult this must be for you. We do, however, have a unique perspective of the other side of adoption. Eric was adopted at birth and is so grateful to have been brought into his adoptive family. Because of his adoption experience, he has always wanted to do the same. We feel like his life experience can really benefit a child when it comes to understanding and dealing with questions and feelings that come up as she develops, grows, and learns about her family’s story. As an adult, Eric was able to meet his biological mom and 6 younger siblings and he maintains relationships with them all. Eric's biological grandparents live just a few miles away and we spend quite a lot of time with these wonderful people. Our family grew by leaps and bounds in an instant and we feel so blessed to have found them.

It has been our dream for many years to have a little girl and we are hoping to fulfill this dream through adoption. We have so much love to give and want to share our life. If you think we may be the right family for you, please contact us at brandiandericadopt@gmail.com or our adoption attorney,

Who We Are

We love spending time together as a family, whether it be going to the mountains to camp or hike, going to the river to go fishing, we just have fun spending time together.

We have 4 amazing boys, who we are so incredibly proud of. The 3 oldest boys, Kenaula, Keoki, and Cole are grown and on their own now. They are such kind hearted, fun, and loving young men. They all live close by, so we see them quite often during the week, but we make a point to get together often to have a big family dinner where everyone can catch up.

Kenaula has a degree in Automotive Technology and Keoki worked as a machinist for the last 3-1/2 years, but recently joined his brother working at an excavation and construction company. Kenaula and Keoki are twins, so multiples don't scare us! Cole is a fireman and just recently graduated with a degree in Fire Science, and is now working towards becoming a paramedic. Our youngest, Chance, is 13 and he can’t wait to be a big brother. He is so kind and patient with all the little ones we have around us. Each of our boys are so different, but one thing that remains the same in all of them is they have huge tender hearts and it is easy to see why everyone that knows them, loves them!

We have quite an extended family who are so very excited to have a new little one joining us. Besides having a mom and dad and 4 big brothers to shower her with love and attention, our child will know love from great-grandparents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and a whole bunch of cousins which include 2 little nieces, so playmates will always be close by.

We have a special place in our heart for animals too, so there are some very spoiled dogs and cats in our large 4 bedroom house, as well as a bunny.

Weekend fun!

What a fun family weekend!  We went to see The Lion King.  It was so fun to be able to watch this new version of such a wonderful Disney movie with Chance that the older boys loved when they were little.  We all came home with bellies full of popcorn.

Today I was reminded of how blessed we are to live where we do.  We live so close to the mountains, so we packed up some snacks and the dogs and took a little trip up to see if the huckleberries were on yet.  No luck.  The huckleberry bushes are loaded with berries, but they’ve got to ripen yet for a couple more weeks.  We did do a little hiking and the dogs had a blast! Everything was so green and I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many flowers out.  We saw several deer and the most exciting part of the trip was on the way home a beautiful cinnamon colored bear ran into the road about 50 feet in front of the car.  It was VERY exciting. He was so scared!  We watched him from the safety of our car as he stood up and looked over a fence and hopped up on top of it and then jumped over it out of view.  We are so thankful for weekends together, amazing wildlife, and the beautiful area we live in.

Happy 4th of July!

Chance and Eric LOVE the 4th of July!  Anything that makes loud noises and big explosions is always a hit with these two.  Unfortunately for Eric, he had to work this year.  Better the 4th of July than Christmas is how Brandi feels about it!  This did not stop Eric from taking Chance shopping for all things loud and bright.  Chance and Brandi spent the evening with close friends watching the fireworks display.  On Friday, we went over to Brandi’s brother’s house and got to enjoy some time with our nieces.  Love those girls so much!  On Saturday, we spent the day at another friend’s house who lives on the Walla Walla River.  It was her annual river party.  There were kids and dogs everywhere.  Even Ava got to go join in the fun.  It was such a wonderful, fun-filled day.  Lots of good food, good friends, and good times!  We came home exhausted, wet, and happy!  We can’t wait to share weekends like this with our little girl.  This weekend was a perfect example of how we live, spending our time together as a family.
