Mike and I met in College 17 years ago and both say that we knew we would marry the other right away. We have been married now for 14 years and have had many adventures together.
We have traveled together, built a happy home together and have seen one another through both the joys of parenting and the trials of infertility. With each challenge we have only grown to love and respect one another more and have grown closer.
We have lived in our home for 8 years. It is on a quiet street with a cul-de-sac that fills with the groups of kids all spring, summer and fall that are playing baseball and riding bikes.
Mike has a beautiful garden that we enjoy from our porch all summer and fall. We also take a lot of pride in a big vegetable garden which produces more than enough to enjoy all summer.
The yard is fenced in for lots of safe play with the kids in the neighborhood, camp outs and swimming in the pool.
Mike is the best Dad I know. He makes the kids laugh so hard and sincerely with his silly jokes, goofy faces and wacky games.
He is patient, loving, gentle, kind and a wonderful human.
He is the one who urges the family to take adventures, try new foods and experiences and to have fun even with the simplest experiences.
Mike is a middle school English teacher and he loves his job. He is ever the teacher to us at home too.
Mike has so much love, empathy and wisdom that he pushes all of us to grow and to be better, and to make the world better. I am so blessed that he is the father of our beautiful children.
Sarah is a loving mom to our kids. She encourages them to sing loud and dance proudly. She loves teaching them to bake with her in our kitchen.
She encourages them to play and explore together. She loves reading to the kids at bedtime and snuggling up to watch a good family movie with the family.
She is patient and listens intently to our kids, encouraging them to speak up for themselves and to learn to listen to each other.
Sarah is a family physician in our hometown, so she is a natural caregiver to our family. She is a loving mother and I am lucky to partner with her in parenting our family with lots of love and laughter together.
