A Mommy, Daddy, Big Sister, and a Little Yorkie Are Waiting!!

To a very special lady,

Thank you for considering us to love your baby. Our story started eight years ago with a blue-eyed Midwestern lady with quick wit, meeting a handsome Peruvian guy who loves soccer on a dating site and that was all she wrote for both of us! The internet is powerful and it brought us together, so now we are hoping to expand our family using this site! Our lives are blessed with our 4 year old daughter, our cozy home that we remodeled with family in mind, a successful business, good health, and loving and supportive friends and family.

We can only imagine all of the emotions & questions you have as you choose a family that feels worthy to raise your child. Our family is all about supporting one another, telling each other how much we love each other every day, and spending quality time together. This is the most difficult decision a mother can make and we want to provide you support and comfort with that decision. Call us at 619-880-7275 anytime. Don't worry, we will be nervous too! Follow us on Instagram @michelleandjulioadopt.

We are working with the agency Adoptions First - Renee Franklin (646) 988-6281. Feel free to call her directly to find out more about us, if you feel more comfortable talking with her first. We pray that you will find the right family for your child, whether it’s ours or not.

We can't wait to hear from you!

Who We Are

Our journey to have a family hasn’t been an easy one. Michelle had some childhood medical issues that make it impossible to have children naturally, so with the help of several rounds of IVF treatments, we were finally able to have Luna. Her arrival came after a horrible loss of another daughter that didn’t make it to term, and two miscarriages. Luna was born very prematurely at 29 weeks, so we are very blessed that she is healthy and you would never know today that she was born as early as she was. Going down the IVF road again isn’t an option, due to Michelle’s high risk of very pre-mature labor. We want more than anything to watch our kids grow up together and have an unbreakable bond with one another! Adopting a child one day has always been our plan and we started the process a few years ago.

Our story started eight years ago on a dating site. Truth be told, Julio ignored Michelle’s request to communicate for over a week. Finally, Julio wrote back apologizing for his very delayed reply and blamed it on an injury due to running the LA marathon. Likely story she thought! We met for dinner and shut the restaurant down. The rest is the fun part of the story! On our third date, we went to a Dodger game and neither of us really enjoys baseball. Second inning, a foul ball is coming towards us. What does Julio do? He leans as far over to his right away from Michelle with his hands protecting his glasses to get out of the way. Thankfully, we didn’t get hit and vowed to never go to a game again.

We’ve now been married for six years and are hoping that the internet will do it’s magic one more time to connect us with a family who is considering an adoption plan. Our desire is to honor the birth mother’s plan, if that means an open adoption, semi-open adoption, or closed adoption. Our preference would be an open adoption in some form or fashion for the benefit of the child to understand where he/she comes from. We will honor their heritage and ensure that they feel connected to their roots as they go through life.

Adoption Diary

All girls need pampering!

Tonight, our very close friends stopped by to see us from San Francisco and joined us for a delicious Peruvian dinner, from one of our favorite local spots. Evie is 12 years old and Luna adores her! Whenever these two get together it’s all about braiding each other’s hair, painting fingernails, followed by a dance party. The nail color choice was alternating pink and purple! Nothing wrong with having two favorite colors.

Weekend Getaway to San Diego

For the July 4th holiday we decided to go on a road trip down to San Diego. Michelle has family that lives in Point Loma, so we got to see the amazing fireworks show from the top of the hill overlooking the San Diego Harbor. We met up with one of Michelle’s childhood friend’s from Kansas, who just happened to be in San Diego too from Phoenix, trying to escape the heat. Then we hit Legoland for a couple of days.

These last couple of weeks have been a little stressful and disappointing for us. We were approached by one expecting mother, who seemed serious about considering us to adopt her baby boy, which is due at the end of July. She suddenly stopped communicating with us and went silent. This process isn’t for the faint of heart. My only wish is that everyone would realize just how hard this is for the hopeful adoptive parents as well. There are so many people just like us that are hoping and praying to expand their families through adoption. The reality is that when a expectant mother contacts various families to find out more about them, the odds are low that any one family will be chosen. It’s a heartbreaking process, but we are in this for the long haul and for the ultimate satisfaction of a women finding us, that will be our match and will ask us to raise her child. Loving a child and having them love you back is the greatest reward in life!

Our impromptu get away to have fun together and get our minds focused on what really matters, which is each other, is just what we needed. We pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off and press forward to see what our future holds!
