Thanks for clicking to learn more about us! We’re Amanda and Brian: we’re a goofy, loving New York-based married couple looking to make an adoption plan with lovely people for a newborn or infant up to 12 months old.
Adoption is our first choice to grow our family. We both have amazing cousins who were adopted so it was an easy decision for us. The process can feel really vulnerable and scary for everyone involved -- but life is like that, huh?! Hehe We love the idea of making a team with the biological parent(s) to make the best plan for our child.
In a phrase: we are "adventurous dorks!" We have traveled to about 20 countries together in five years but most nights we prefer to curl up on the couch with chocolate-chip cookies to watch sci-fi and fantasy movies: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars.. We have a special tradition of going hiking/camping and attending a theater performance in the same day! That's why we fell in love: we both have a passion and curiosity to see and learn about the world through travel and art. We are avid readers and enjoy spending time in the woods with our extended family and friends.
There is so much more to share with you about who we are and how we move through the world. We can’t imagine the difficult position you are in, and we truly believe that whatever decision you make is the right decision. If you think we could be your right decision — let’s talk further! We’re a little nervous too, so we can figure this all out together as a team. Call or text 516-900-3717 or email email@example.com

Who We Are
Our first date in 2012 was to see the first Hobbit film - instant connection! We fell in love in 2013 when we went camping and to the opera in the same night and watched a meteor shower until 3am. In 2014 we got our domestic partnership agreement to make our commitment legal. In 2018 we took the big leap and got married at City Hall with our parents, siblings, and nieces, and nephews — and celebrated with four hours of private karaoke!
As humans, we are compassionate, curious, sensitive, adventurous, supportive, and affectionate. We surround ourselves with diverse people who have these same core values and we are lucky enough to have wonderful parents who have modeled these traits for us. While there are always bumps in any road, we know we can face anything as a family if we hold on to these traits and what we know to be true: that all you need is love.
We had a nice little double date night with Tyler and Justin to see the musical Merrily We Roll Along on Broadway. All four of us were humming the songs the whole way home : ) we also loved that the boys were wearing blazers.. Amanda will have to buy one soon to join them!
What we love about musicals, and all art, is that it shows us different perspectives than the one we have. It’s so easy to get stuck in our own viewpoint and the best thing art can teach us empathy for what other people are going through. Merrily was a great reminder of what it feels like to lose your values as you get older — something we are trying hard not to do! But another message of the play was keeping good friends in your life to help you stay on track. Thank god we have Tyler and Justin : )
